Few expected the iPhone SE to become real when rumors started last year, but in the end it came to life as the best 4 inch phone on the market. Now we go one step forward, as designer Armend Lleshi envisions an iPhone 4SE, with a 4 inch screen and reinvented specs.  Do we need this phone? Probably not, but Apple would make it anyway…

This model is rendered in the competent video below and the iPhone 4SE comes with a fingerprint scanner of course, but it’s also very slim at just 6.3 mm in thickness. The same body of the iPhone 4S is supposed to be kept here, but this time we get a bigger screen and a 12 megapixel iSight camera, plus a 5 MP front selfie shooter.

The Apple A9 chip and 2 GB of RAM are also here, plus a 2200 mAh battery and 16, 32 or 128 GB of storage. Available in white, black, gold or rose gold, this model has a front side that feels modern, but the general format is a throwback to the iPhone 4. Somehow there’s still an audio jack in the mix and an USB Type C port too.

This feels a bit like a concept of the iPhone 5 from the year when the iPhone 4S was launched. We also seem to be getting a glass back here, so that’s a change for sure from current iPhones.
