Product design can be taken further now, as different gadgets start to imitate famous cars, planes or even draw their inspiration from videogames. This time we’re dealing with a famous car brand turned into a handset. It’s not official by any means (as far as we know), but the Aston Martin phone looks well enough to draw our attention. It was designed by Abhilash Chandrasekharan.

You’ve got to admire the implementation of the “headlights” and front of the car in the phone’s lower part. The only problem with this concept phone is its thickness, but I guess that a couple of diamonds and gold coating will make you forget about this handicap.

Patrick Widen designed a pretty interesting phone, the Zoos concept, that comes with a hot list of specs. It features 32GB of integrated Flash memory, 3G support and Foozoo’s OS. The main advantage of the device? Its thickness, as it seems that the Zoos is no thicker than a finger and even skinnier than a Hershey bar.

It also comes with a 256 bit encryption algorithm that manages to encrypt your phone calls and data, before they’re transmitted via the network.

One of the most beautiful concept phones can be seen in the following images and it tends to be original and chic, rather than sexy and breathtaking. The watch phone designed by Adam Huffman features a touchscreen and uses a Bluetooth headset in order to receive and make calls.
What about text messages? I’m guessing it features vocal recognition or something…

We might as well call this the “Couple Phone”, as two devices, laying side by side look very much like a couple in love. Plus, each of the Duofone units manages to add some extra battery life to the other, also doubling the resolution and creating a bigger common keypad. How cute is that?

The concept belongs to Daewoo Kim and it would be a pity not to see it in real life, specially with the EURO 08 coming up and the need for bigger portable screens to watch matches on.

Put your social boots on and start drooling for a gadget that finally allows you to check how popular you are on MySpace while walking to school. It’s a MySpace Mobile, a concept for now, or at least I think so, since I found it on Flickr. The device’s motto seems to be “A phone for friends”.
Now let’s see how friendly it really is.

MySpace Mobile features a pressure-sensitive retractable keypad and allows the user to send and receive comments, photos, videos and voice messages on the go. It also comes with Bluetooth profiles and supports synching with the PC version of MySpace Calendar.
In case you get bored, you can download and watch MySpace videos, get songs and ringtones from MySpace Music and of course use the MySpace IM. This concept phone supports 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, comes with a full MP3 and video player and last, but not least includes patented “Touch Tabs” for unique control.

iPhone who? Just look at the P-Per concept phone below, designed by the Chocolate Agency and you’ll why we can consider the iPhone to be outdated. It’s only 7mm thin and includes a 3 megapixel camera plus it can recharge its batteries in 2 minutes. How? It may be solar energy or just another “alien” technology.

The design of this device is based on layers, 4 of them to be more precise: extruded polycarbonate, titanium (recycled), a printed circuit board and a flexible LED touchscreen that wraps around the phone and comes with haptic feedback.
This original display redefines the interface concept and enhances multimedia abilities thus guaranteeing an unique user experience.

If you’re into multimedia devices, than we’ve got the perfect one for you… still a concept though. Theo Bridge designed the next generation of Bang & Olufsen phones, it seems and called the handset you see below De Stijl. Yes, it’s got style and probably enough multimedia features to match any famous rival.

The concept phone comes with a touchscreen, a stylish black, white and red interface and a virtual keypad. You’ll be able to take pics in landscape mode and there are a couple of photo editing options there, as I see it. De Stijl is one stylish handset that probably handles MP3 songs, AVI videos and video recording just as well.
All we need is some storage space and 3G connectivity and we’re set.

Many designers are more keen on creating a phone that looks beautiful or packs a decent specs list. However, there are a few, like Mihail Cazac, who take more interest in the longevity of their work. As such, we’re introduced to a new concept phone you can admire below, which comes in a slider form factor and is designed to “live forever”.

The handset is quite an original slider using two cylindrical “rails” made out of precious metals, like gold or platinum. Those cylinders also include the phone’s antenna and protect it from shocks and whatnot.
In order for this precious concept phone to live forever, it features a customizable body, but it’s the specs one should worry about, rather than the looks, once the device is at least 5 years old.

What you can see below is the Packet concept phone, the winner of the Istanbul Design Week 2007, created by Emir Rifat ISIK. It’s a surprising device measuring only 5 x 5 cm (folded), which opens up to show its user 5 surfaces which include a keypad, 2 mini keyboards and touch sensitive buttons.

The handset is made out of some sort of e-paper, that’s touch-sensitive and makes the device extremely light and thin. It may also be made of environmentally friendly materials, so we’ll be high tech and “green” at the same time, in case this design turns into a real phone.

Although this reminds me of the “Soap Phone” designed for ladies, the Egg Phone has a neat touch to it, that makes it look like a futuristic device. Its features are pretty realistic, for a manufacturer that would take up the project: Bluetooth, USB, WiFi, a 3.2 megapixel camera and 4 GB internal memory.

Roman Tubl is the designer of the phone, that is surrounded by a red luminous strip. In case you’re wondering where the shine of the device comes from, I guess it must be the flexi true colour display, a touchscreen with tactile feedback.
