This is so not the /XpressMusic 5800, that it becomes quite an interesting handset, after being constantly fed info about the upcoming Nokia hit. Designed by Ulisses Gardim, the concept phone features an SD card slot, a touchscreen display and a camera.

Bluetooth, a video and audio player are also among its specs, but that’s the max we can figure out from these two images. I have to say it again, this is a serious approach to the whole “Nokia touchscreen device” thing, but it might just me being shocked by a touch-based handset without rounded edges (noticed that most touchscreen phones feature that design?).

Interzone Cellphone Concept Checks the Air Quality as You Pollute It

Interzone is more of a project than a concept phone per se, created by Alistair Bramley. If you’re looking for aesthetics or uber-features, go change the channel as this is “green” tech we’re talking about.

Seemingly the Interzone comes with a “Sensor Planet”, or the ability of connecting to a network of sensors in order to analyze the quality of the air we breathe, courtesy of a Nokia Research Center.

So, I imagine a future where everyone owns a phone that analyzes the CO2 levels and aside from the signal and battery icon on the display, we’ll also be able to check out a pollution “meter”.

Nokia Tube Becomes the Nokia Pipe

I had a friend of mine draw his version of the Nokia Tube, after all this hype that’s been going on and on about the handset. He’s not into cellphones at all, but his creation is reasonably funny, if you can take a geeky joke. In other words, here’s the Nokia Tube/Pipe.

By now, you must’ve seen at least 20 pictures showing you the future Nokia touchscreen handset, dubbed the Tube or the XpressMusic 5800, but that’s never enough for the tech-hungry. Here’s a screenshot of the Tube’s browser, a bit more impressive than its bad virtual keyboard, but still not exactly what you’d expect from the S60 Touch.

As these pics are starting to increase in number, we’ve gone through the process of rearranging them. Also, we’ve integrated most of the Nokia Tube leaked pics and screenshots into a YouTube clip you can check out below:

After seeing the Nokia Tube in the latest Batman movie and checking out a couple of leaked pics, it’s time for… some more leaked photos, this time provided by Digi QQ. They also mention a couple of specs of the long-awaited device, which you’ll find out if you keep reading below.

Among the specs there’s a 3.2 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss optical lens with autofocus, plus Dual LED Flash, built-in GPS, 140 MB RAM and TV-out. Nokia XpressMusic 5800 measures 111 x 52 x 14.5 mm and weighs only 104 grams, but its main feature is the TFT LCD screen, with a 640 x 360 pixel resolution and a 16:9 display mode.

The Nokia Tube also comes with the fifth edition of Symbian S60, vibration feedback during touch interaction, a BL-5J 1150 mAh battery and a 3.5 mm headset. Connectivity’s also got some options lined up like GSM/GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA/HSDPA/WLAN support plus Bluetooth. The public demands a video of the device folks, so we’re waiting for it and by God I hope not to see any more pics of the Tube.

Nokia 9900 Concept Pen Phone Features Stretchable Touch Display

Forget about the , as that’s a mere cry baby, compared to the sexy concept below. The Nokia 9900 aims to deliver what the Finnish manufacturer has been trying to create for the past year, a perfect rival for the iPhone. However, we get more than we imagined: a pen phone with uber-features.

Nokia 9900 Concept Pen Phone Features Stretchable Touch Display

This pen phone comes with a stretchable touch panel, which will pretty much be your display and it’ll also be used as a viewfinder for the handset’s camera. The pen functions are all there, so you can write or draw any time you want, while the button on top of the device is used to control the phone.

I see “Microsoft” mentioned on the pics of the device, so there’s bound to be some Windows Mobile action under that cover. Also, the Nokia 9900 seems bundled with a hot headset, but the details are so scarce that we’ll have to be satisfied with assumptions, for now.

Update:  There’s no Windows Mobile action yet, but the concept draws its inspiration from Microsoft Surface, as translated by one of our readers. (Thanks Andy Fang)

After seeing the Nokia XpressMusic 5800 also known as the Tube in The Dark Knight movie, it’s time for another pic of the future Nokia hit. This time, we get to check out its interface, which is really disappointing, even for a prototype.

Nokia Tube Spotted Again, Ugly Interface?

Yes, it’s fairly basic and yes it does leave enough room for chubby fingers to press, but still, this is Nokia we’re talking about people… and the Symbian touch OS.

Folks who have seen The Dark Knight must have been impressed by Heath Ledger’s performance, but there was more to that movie for the tech geek in you. The hit we’ve been waiting for made a special appearance…

Nokia XpressMedia 5800 Featured in The Dark Knight - The Bat Tube?

Word goes round that the Nokia XpressMedia 5800, or the Tube as we’ve come to know it was spotted in Morgan Freeman’s possession in a scene of the motion picture. The handset hasn’t been launched yet so maybe this is a sign of things to come. Got more on this story? Feel free to comment below.

Nokia 6639 Concept Cameraphone Features Photoshop and… Zippo Lighter?!

We usually try to avoid the extra sci-fi concepts, in order to check out the more realistic ones, but this one’s too funny. 6639 is something that would probably never hit the streets this decade or the next.

Nokia 6639 Concept Cameraphone Features Photoshop and... Zippo Lighter?!

It features a Swiss army knife, a zippo lighter and a digital  SLR camera (double digit megapixels) plus Photoshop. Notice that ton of brands in the picture above. Imagine Sony Ericsson and Nokia working on the same device… I can pretty much imagine what each company contributed to the Nokia 6639 cameraphone, but what’s Volkswagen doing there?

Nokia Mystery Ready to be Revealed – “Open at Your Own Risk”

Talk about viral sites! Nokia has done it again, by making us feel like Lara Croft and Indy while we’re exploring the mystery of a … video. OpenAtYourOwnRisk.com is their latest viral site, that greets you a pretty easy to solve puzzle and reveals the details of the “game”.

Nokia Mystery Ready to be Revealed – “Open at Your Own Risk”

They talk of some royalties creating a clip “of grande weirdness” hundreds of years ago. Also the site mentions that this clip was hidden inside a box and that it’s protected by 4 seals. Of course we get clues, but they’re hidden in artefacts like Edison’s lightbulb, Apollo 11 and the Nokia Download Store.

The enigma will be cleared on Monday, July 7, but I bet that everyone will be celebrating the 4th of July and won’t have time to trouble their heads with such riddles. I smell a Nokia Tube launch… Do you?
