Esato board user RKSynth created a Samsung concept phone called the Alatydo, packing a very interesting set of specifications. The handset comes with an incredible Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.3 GHz processor and a 3.7 inch AMOLED touchscreen with a 480 x 800 pixels resolution.
There are not futuristic specs, since it’s possible that we’ll see such devices in 2010, maybe released by HTC first, not Samsung. Back to the concept, we also learn that Samsung Alatydo comes with TouchWiz UI 2.0, an 8.1 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, WiFi with DLNA, GPS, 32GB of internal memory and FM radio with RDS.
The Samsung handset also features tri-band 3G with HSDPA (7.2Mbps) connectivity, Bluetooth and USB 2.0, plus a 3.5mm audio jack and an accelerometer sensor.

We’ve just come across what seems to be a Photoshop work of a Samsung phone, pretending to be a real mobile phone. This seemingly new device is inspired by Samsung’s Crystal Design applied to the company’s LCD TVs. Expect this story to develop into something more interesting, as specs and probably live pictures leak out.

Wilson Song created a pretty cool concept phone, Samsung WM, a stylish watch mobile combo, that’s also got the features of a portable console. You can wear the device on your wrist and play games with the aid of its embedded technologies, like motion sensing and a “bend interface”.
Samsung WM comes with a flexible wide display, earphones, a stylus and games that rely on motion capture technology. There’s also a camera on board, at the back side of the device and this phone is cool enough for both women and men to wear on their wrists.

Omnia is already becoming a series of Samsung handsets, now that along with Omnia i900 and Omnia HD i8910, the manufacturer is planning to release an Omnia Pro model, featuring a full QWERTY keyboard.
Since it’s Sunday and there’s no concept in sight, we show you the mockup of the future device, done by the folks of samsung.hdblog.it
Samsung Omnia Pro will also feature a wide touchscreen and it’ll hit the market in July, for about $662. It’ll run Windows Mobile 6.1 and use a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, image stabilizer and support for video recording. An upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5 should also be available and the display of the Pro is a 3.5 inch WVGA (800 x 480) touchscreen.

We’ve been waiting for some Android love from Samsung for a while, but it seems that only now has the manufacturer decided to shed some light on its new project. Too bad for the awful quality of the image showing the first Samsung Android phone, but this is the sort of teasing we need to come to love a product.
Turns out that the device packs a responsive capacitive touchscreen and it supports GSM/HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity. The new Android phone also comes with Google Maps, Gmail, advanced web browsing, a camera and a memory card slot.

The idea of a device that projects its keyboard or interface on a surface instead of incorporating a display hasn’t been exploited enough till now and here’s a concept that reminds us of the power of projectors. The Samsung Finger Touching hand phone is a sort of bracelet-like handset that projects its keypad onto your hand.
The user’s fingers will become the keypad and the round segment of the concept phone is the one that incorporates the projector. I’d be careful while texting on a sweaty palm though and I bet you can find a couple more flaws to this concept. Any ideas?
Loading ...Samsung recently demoed its latest innovation in the phone business, a handset sporting a flexible OLED display at FPD International, in Yokohama. The phone can open up like a book and reveal quite an impressive display, which will work great for viewing high-def videos and web browsing in full page mode.
No info on any production plans, but here’s a sample of this innovative concept:

These are the days of AT&T launches or announcements and we’re talking about Pantech or Samsung handsets, the latter category including a phone named “Propel”. Samsung Propel will come with a QWERTY keypad, support AT&T Navigation, display some reasonably hot looks and it’ll hit the market with an $80 price tag (with contract and rebates).

We’re ALL into niche products these days, as we don’t dig normal handsets any more, but we look for originality, hot new features and the strangest designs. The Samsung Lavender concept phone by Andrew Seunghyun Kim is not all about internal memory, a hot CPU or touchscreen resolution. Instead, it’s a more refined piece of equipment that will tickle your nose instead of your eyes and ears.
It’s also got a fluid design and deep violet body with notes of “warm pink”, as the designer claims. On the front of the handset you can notice the presence of a speaker, plus a “Home” button that looks like a gem. On the back, the camera is surrounded by a circular flash and sparkly LEDs.
Beauty’s in the details, when it comes to the Samsung Lavender, as it features an USB connector that attaches accessories with ease and secures the connection with a magnetic latch system.
Among those accessories, there’s a Lavender Light, that emits UV light during the charging process, used to fight bacteria. Of course, there’s a lavender perfume dispenser to attach, a feature you might have guessed with the aid of the phone’s name. Just press the metal head to activate the spray nozzle and smell lavender.
There’s also a clip you can use to attach the Lavender handset to basically anything, specially clothing. More info on the device and screenshots of its interface right here.

The frame that surrounds a phone’s touchscreen may sometimes become irrelevant, specially when dealing with a display that draws everyone’s eyes towards it. Riccardo Ceci’s concept phone seems to have been part of a Samsung design competition and I’m really hoping he won, as the design is quite nice.
Since this is a Samsung device, Windows Mobile was a logical choice and it smells like WM7 flavour with a special interface. The motto of this handset is “The Day Will be Night Forever”, clearly shown by the brightness of the screen, the Samsung logo that lights up, as do the call/end call buttons.
Specs? Who cares and wants to speculate on the concept phone’s features when this baby lights up in the dark of a tech convention?
