Sony Ericsson P7i Might as Well be an XPERIA

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

Loading ... Loading ... Sealover from Esato showed us this wonderful concept, the P7i, which pretty much reminds me of the XPERIA, but a revamped version of the smartphone. Haven’t got the list of specs for the device, but I can see the Windows Mobile button on its front, so this contradicts SE, who recently claimed that the next XPERIA will switch from WM to another OS, maybe even Android.

Fairly decent touchscreen, slim handset, useful buttons beneath the screen, an interface that promises a lot… Wondering if there’s some QWERTY action in there?

Sony Ericsson GreenHeart Concept Phone Should Save the Planet

Monday, September 29th, 2008

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (2 votes, average: 4.00 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... Sony Ericsson recently announced the launch of its environmentally friendly handset, the GreenHeart concept phone. The device has a pretty decent life cycle and features a bio-plastic housing, recycled plastic keypad, zero charger (3.5mW standby power) and HTML based e-manuals (no more cut down trees for paper).

Plus, the GreenHeart comes with “Ecomate”, an educational app that’s pretty much a fun game. Even the package of the phone is environmentally friendly so owning, using and recycling the handset will solve some of Mother Nature’s issues.

Another Sony Ericsson Bravia Phone… Ready to Arrive

Monday, September 29th, 2008

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (7 votes, average: 5.00 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... Sunils120 from the Esato board has been cooking something for the Sony Ericsson fans, a Bravia phone to be more precise. All we’ve got is this preview rendering of what’s about to hit us. Neat concept, great lines, a tad too long, very much like the Nokia Tube somehow… What’s so Bravia about it?

I suppose that the concept phone will feature some mean codecs and an uber-resolution, plus landscape view.

Sony Ericsson G910 Concept Looks Hot, Feels Comfy

Friday, September 26th, 2008

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (9 votes, average: 4.78 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... While LG are getting ready to announce the Prada II, the Sony Ericsson G910 would make a fine rival for the first generation of handsets branded with the fashion designer’s logo. Designed by J. Havrlant, this concept phone is both stylish and touch-friendly.

Its navigational pad beneath the screen seems fairly easy to use, while the rest of the buttons surrounding it are (or seem) touch sensitive. I’m also betting that the display is a touchscreen and I can see that the handset features a frontal camera and probably Windows Mobile (notice the little icon on the left?).

Sony Ericsson Cybershot Kate Leaked?

Friday, September 26th, 2008

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (4 votes, average: 5.00 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... Talk about spy shots! After seeing some really quality pics of future handsets lately, we go back in the world of blurry spy shots to discover a new Sony Ericsson leaked handset, apparently the “Kate”.

Sony Ericsson Cybershot Kate Leaked?

This Cybershot branded device will replace the K770, but the info’s lacking right now, so no specs list till the next leaked photo of the handset… maybe. Cellphonesail mentions that this phone uses a lens cover that resembles a lot the one of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T2, so we’re bound to see a decent camera in there.

Sony Ericsson W509, The Walkman That Should Be…

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (6 votes, average: 4.00 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... Usually music phones show their nature via a couple of multimedia keys or through the Walkman branding, but there are a few handsets out there that resemble MP3 players so much that guessing their features is easy as pie. One of those is the Nokia 7280 and the other is concept phone, the Sony Ericsson W509.

We’re dealing with a handset that comes with 4GB of internal memory, a 3.5 mm jack, a 176 x 220 display, a 2 megapixel camera and a MiniUSB. The W509 also uses extra music navigations keys and connects via EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA. Here’s the phone in glossy black:

XPERIA X2 Would Take the SE Smartphone to the Mid End World?

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (15 votes, average: 3.93 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... Someone from Esato claimed that the next the XPERIA would be an excellent way of making the original handset into a lower end device, accessible for people with less cash and tech know-how. A mid-end XPERIA would surely blow the competition away, but would it canibalize the sales of the original handset?

XPERIA X2 Would Take the SE Smartphone to the Mid End World?

XPERIA X2 was designed by , a name you must have surely heard if you’ve seen our best Sony Ericsson concepts.

Notice that the neat touchscreen and interface are still there, WM flavour, but the next version of this XPERIA smartphone might lack the QWERTY keyboard. It’s the designer’s call there…

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X5 Photoshop Concept Designed by Exilim From Esato

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (90 votes, average: 4.81 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... We’ve seen the XPERIA X5 before, but never so beautiful and so uber-filled with hot features… This time we’re dealing with a smartphone designed by Exilim from Esato and what a smartphone this is! Let me begin with the shocking specs: a Qualcomm MSM7200 850 MHz processor, 512 MB RAM and 40 GB internal memory…

Plus, there are 2 displays to toy with: a front TFT touchscreen (65k colors, 800 x 480) and a slideout one, TFT touchscreen as well (65 k colors, 800 x 240).

We mustn’t forget the full touch QWERTY keyboard/game controls and the classic 3G HSDPA connectivity, accompanied by Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, GPS, A-GPS and an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, image stabiliser and Xenon flash. The battery is incredible too, lasting 833 hours in standby mode and up to 10 hours if you’re a chatter.

Sony Ericsson Rika is the G705 Walkman Version, Available at Christmas Time

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (3 votes, average: 3.67 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... Well, we didn’t guess the Sony Ericsson handset that the Unofficial Sony Ericsson blog showed the world yesterday. Turns out that the upper half of the device was part of the SE Rika, or the Walkman version of the G705.

The site that started the quiz also mentions that the phone will be announced next month and it will be available at Christmas time.

Guess the Unannounced Sony Ericsson Phone – Quiz by se-nse

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (2 votes, average: 3.00 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... Oh boy, oh boy, do we love quizzes! Sense-net came up with the brilliant idea of having us guess an unannounced Sony Ericsson phone. Their only and quite obvious hint is that we’re dealing with a Walkman handset. Also, I can spot a frontal camera in there, so there’s got to be 3G support on the specs list. The speaker design is quite unique and after snooping around a bit online, I found the W910 to be quite similar to this device.

So, my guess is W920. What’s yours?

Guess the Unannounced Sony Ericsson Phone Quiz by se nse

Remember the new SE naming convention: names starting with 9 and 8 define high end phones, while the successors of a certain devices are shown by the second figure and finally the last figure defines the form factor (0, 1 and 2 for candybar).
