Loading ... Loading ... In preparation of the 2010 Sony Ericsson concept phones on Esato, we get some teasers of the upcoming devices, courtesy of designer Razec. The first is Sony Ericsson Nanami, pictured below and probably being a touch cameraphone, “the revival of something exotic” and a… slider? (we’re only guessing).

Next up is Sony Ericsson Karina, pictured below, a “slim and neat” handset, that’s both compact and powerful, it seems to run a mystery flavour of Windows Mobile and features a bright touchscreen. There’s a HD inscription near the camera at the back, so we’re guessing the sensor is 8/12 MP and it comes with autofocus and serious flash power.

This slim device with Windows Mobile 7 (we’re guessing again) might be the ultimate XPERIA of 2010, although the handsets of this series have gone the Android way. I’d put a 1 GHz CPU under that case… Great teasers, Razec!

Sony Ericsson 12 Megapixel Cameraphone Design, by Remort1

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (8 votes, average: 5.00 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... Esato board user Remort1 has created a brand new Sony Ericsson concept, sporting a 12.1 megapixel camera and a flash at the back. Its display looks like a full touchscreen and the OS of choice for this beauty is probably Android or Symbian.

We have no info on this SE concept design, but we suppose it’s an XPERIA cameraphone (if such a thing may exist), with a pretty simplistic look and a big screen that functions both in portrait and landscape mode.

Loading ... Loading ... It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Sony Ericsson concept from Esato, but now we have a fresh design from Stefan Riegenbauer. This render shows a pretty original phone, with an inclined keypad, probably a 3.5mm audio jack at the top and a microUSB port on the lower side.

This looks like a pretty trendy piece of equipment, suitable for teens and fashionable people. What do you say about it?

Sony Ericsson Kurara Concept Versus Live Leaked Picture

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (7 votes, average: 3.43 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... We’ve mentioned Sony Ericsson Kurara once before on our site, but now we have to detail it, in case you’re not familiar with this device. After stumbling upon it on the Esato board, as a concept created by FlamEmo, we’ve come across a bunch of “live pictures” of the handset, available after the break.

Sony Ericsson Kurara Concept Versus Live Leaked Picture

Turns out that this is a Sony Ericsson phone capable of HD video recording and it sports a design that looks very much like that of SE Satio. Kurara should be running Symbian S60 5th edition and it also features an 8.1 megapixel camera and a 3.5 inch OLED display.

So, what’s the deal? Is this device real or a mere Photoshop work? We’ve yet to find an answer for this question, but maybe you can help…

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (20 votes, average: 3.65 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... Esato board member and great designer J. Havrlant has finished the Sony Ericsson Arashi concept phone, after showing us a teaser, a couple of days ago. We learn that the handset packs a 4 inch AMOLED touch display and a 12.1 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom.

The designer claims that more details (and probably images) are coming soon and in case you’re wondering, this is a Symbian S60 device. Is this a cameraphone or simply a smartphone with a very, very good camera sensor?

Sony Ericsson Arashi Gets Teased, J. Havrlant is Back!

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (16 votes, average: 3.00 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... When discussing Sony Ericsson concepts, it doesn’t rain, it pours! No less than 3 new designs have hit the Esato board recently and probably the biggest waves were made by Kurara, some of the folks online mistaking it for a real device (or is it?).

We have a look at SE Arashi, pictured below and belonging to famous designer J. Havrlant.

Sony Ericsson Arashi Gets Teased, J. Havrlant is Back!

It’s been a while since we saw his works on Esato and we’re guessing that Arashi is a cameraphone, with a full touchscreen display, tons of memory on board, Android or Symbian S60, plus a couple of other interesting features. What do you say?

Sony Ericsson Touchscreen Walkman Concept, by Jerome Brown

Friday, October 30th, 2009

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (21 votes, average: 4.38 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... A couple of days ago we showed you Jerome Brown’s cool iPhone Slim concept and now we have another device to check out, made by the same designer. This time, we’re dealing with the Sony Ericsson touchscreen Walkman pictured below, coming with built in speakers in the touch pad area and also subwoofer speakers.

The handset also packs a 5 megapixel camera with night light, plus the ability to personalize the touch light screen numbers and side lighting (available in 50 different colors).

All of these feats are packed within a compact phone, that looks pretty nifty, specially on the front side, due to the original design.

[thanks Jerome]

Sony Ericsson iMPERIA 1 Teaser, a Remort1 Creation

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (11 votes, average: 3.36 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... Esato board user Remort1 is teasing us with a new design, the Sony Ericsson iMPERIA concept, pictured below. This is a SE device with a full touchscreen display, a simplistic front design and I, for one, would like to see Android running on it, if possible. The real question is: could this be a cameraphone, a Walkman or an XPERIA?

Sony Ericsson WakeUpPhone, Cellphone and Alarm Clock at the Same Time

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (9 votes, average: 3.89 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... Designer Carl Hagerling created an interesting Sony Ericsson concept phone, blending a cellphone with a device that most of us use daily: the alarm clock. It’s true that such devices have died out, in favor of the ones incorporated in phones or watches, but such an idea could give the alarm clocks a new twist.

Sony Ericsson WakeUpPhone shows the time and also works as an alarm clock that’s wake you up in the morning. The Swedish designer of the handset incorporated a tilted display into the concept, perfect for the alarm position, in order to give the user a better view of the time, while sitting on the bed.

This device draws its power from two AAA batteries and also packs a Walkman player, camera and a power button.

Sony Ericsson New Walkman Concept, Designed by Sealover94

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

1 Star2 Stars3 Stars4 Stars5 Stars (15 votes, average: 4.20 out of 5)

Loading ... Loading ... Esato board user sealover94 is back and he has shown the world a teaser of his new Sony Ericsson Walkman concept phone. This looks like a touchscreen music phone, quite a thin one, but there also might be a sliding part in there, tons of gigs of memory and probably a cool 8MP camera at the back..

Android anyone?
