We’re living in tough times, plagued by wars and natural disasters so it would be nice if we used gadgets that keep us safe, or at least indicate our position at all time, for potential rescuers. Designer Shirley A. Roberts has a solution, the Disposable Pre-Paid Phone that can be wrapped around your wrist and used to save your life.

This concept is a basic device, cheap to produce, extremely portable and easy to use… but will it appeal to the general public? How much do we care about ourselves? Keanu Reeve’s latest movie might give you a hint…
