Designer André Duarte Silva created a very interesting phone concept, the Porsche Design Smartphone. Using a slick aluminum case, the device comes with a huge multitouch display and reminds us of the iPhone 4. There’s also a speaker on board, between the glass and aluminum body, increasing the device’s appeal and acoustic potential.

There’s also a Quick video access button on the right side of the phone, allowing the user to create home videos, while at the back of the Porsche concept phone you’ll find a dual camera system. One of the cams takes 5MP photos and shoots 720p HD video with stereo sound quality and even records 3D video. Tridimensional photos can also be shot, plus there’s an LED flash on board.
This is an Android unit with custom apps and we have to say that it’s rare a stylish handset gets so many cool specs, especially in the camera and media department.

We’ve seen a
Windows Phone 7 concept before, but this time we go the way of fashion handsets and discover the S7. The work of Enever Design, this phone uses a bamboo case, shaped like a camera and specs that include a micro SIM, an SD card slot, micro HDMI and USB ports.

There’s an 8MP camera with Xenon flash on the back and Windows Phone 7 runs the show on this device. Dedicated camera buttons will also come in handy. When Windows Phone 7 launched, 10 devices were shown to the public, all of them with very cool specs, but none of them as elegant as the S7. However, the new models can still be customized and turned into fashion phones…

Seung-Hyun Yoon created a lattice-style handset, the MINIMA model you can see in the following images. Nothing much to say about this design, aside from the fact that its keyboard is pretty interesting (resembles a lattice) and wood finish is the central theme of the device.

The organic look of the phone is what the designer is going for and there’s a secondary display camouflage on the outer flip, in case you didn’t notice. Ladies would go crazy for this fashion phone and years ago it would have been a fine addition to the Nokia L’Amour nature-inspired series.

Bracelet phone designs are already a regular item on our site, specially since these concepts are hot-looking and appealing to the feminine audience. This time we’re dealing with the Philips Fluid smartphone, a flexible OLED phone created by Brazilian designer Dinard da Mata.

You can wrap the device around your wrist and turn it into a bracelet for fashionable users. As you can see from the following images of the Philips concept phone, the handset supports gaming when the bracelet is rolled out horizontally, displaying virtual gaming controls. The phone looks pretty neat, but it seems a bit too fragile for our taste.

Remember
Andro Gama? The designer is back with a fresh concept, the Sony Ericsson Chic Vivaz Mini, a fashionable handset that comes in may colour versions. Also, the specs on this device are reasonable, ranging from the 5 megapixel camera with HD video capture, to the 3 inch TFT touchscreen.

Sony Ericsson Chic Vivaz Mini also features a “mini design”, Symbian, Bluetooth Stereo A2DP, social networking functions (Facebook, Twitter clients etc), a special tattooed case and an accelerometer. Its camera supports continuous focus and uses an LED flash. I’m sure the ladies would go crazy for this Sony Ericsson phone design!
What do you say?

Alcatel still lives, although the brand doesn’t release many phones these days. Thankfully, we have some concepts of Alcatel clamshell handsets to look at, courtesy of designer Eric Xialei. He created the following
stylish devices pictured below:

The Alcatel concept phone you can see above is a stylish piece of work, with an unique shape and chrome finish. The handset is based on a simple design and it comes with a 2 megapixel camera, music keys and an OLED display.
There’s also the Chonos design, shown below, with an user-friendly design and incredibly easy access to music features. Bluetooth is also on board and these two classy Alcatel devices sure look promising, so let’s hope they become real.

Mobiado recently showcased a concept phone that they call an “objet d’art”. We’re dealing with the Mobiado CPT001 model, a luxury phone that uses materials from the Renaissance period and modern technology. On the inside you’ll find all of the components of modern handsets, but the exterior is a different thing.

CPT001 is made out of a solid block of marble with letters engraved in gold and details as well. It’s got a touchscreen display, made from a big piece of sapphire and its buttons and fancy watch under the screen are made from solid gold. You can even see the mechanism of the watch, for an extra touch of geeky elegance.
Odds are this concept phone will become real, but when that will happen we don’t know.

We’ve got a pretty fancy concept phone on our hands today, albeit one with not so impressive specs: the lotta handset, created by designer Ichiro Iwasaki for
Japanese company iida. The device comes with a beautiful shape and moderate specs, available after the break.

lotta weighs 108 grams, it incorporates a 2.8 inch LCD display, a microSDHC card slot, 100MB of internal memory, a 0.3 megapixel camera, a memento feature, an electronic dictionary and a battery that lasts 260 minutes in talk mode and 430 hours in standby mode.
There’s also a calories counter on board, the “Run and Walk” application, a navigation app, software that lets you know when disasters happen and the much needed e-wallet feature. Fancy and elegant, this handset could become the next hit in Japan, if it gets turned into a real phone.

Looking for a hot
fashion phone? Jung Dae Hoon created the Dial Phone, reminding us of the round dials on old communication devices through its circular design. The device can be considered a fashion accessory and it’ll be crafted using the metal of the owner’s choice.

Jung Dae Hoon’s concept phone can also have a sporty approach and its comes with a projected light beam in the inner circle of the handset. The latter mechanism creates the rotary dial, that’s usable via touch. Just touch the numbers to dial a combination you want to call.

It’s been a while since we saw a
luxury concept phone, so we’re glad to have a look at the Vtech Premium handset, created by Catherine Wong. This concept phone provides premium feeling to the user, since it’s made out of silver and sports a sophisticated hairline texture and a high gloss surface.

When the handset is in use, it shows a ring of red light that glows neatly in the proximity of the glossy surface of the device. There’s also a chrome select key on board, in the center of the upper surface of the phone, easy to operate and mimicking a jewel piece.
Vtech Premium also packs a large reversed LCD with white backlighting and it uses an unique graphic user interface, that’s more low end-looking than you might think.
