HTC M8 Ace Render Leaks; What’s This Device?!

I’m sure that talented designers and renderers will be able to make sense of the leak below, showing what’s supposed to be a device called HTC M8 Ace. That’s part of a triplet that includes the HTC One M8, the M8 Mini and this newcomer, the HTC M8 Ace.

One may say that the Ace is in fact the new Max, but seeing how the One Max flopped, it may be something else. Maybe it’s a cameraphone like the Galaxy S4 Zoom, or maybe a rugged phone, resilient to water and dust in order to compete with the latest Xperias and the Galaxy S5. Nobody knows exactly.

I see here a very slim bezel, a very interesting red hue for the device and BlinkFeed in green, as it’s available right now on the M8. I can’t figure out where the BoomSound speakers are, which makes me think they’re somehow coated to hide them from water and make this a rugged device. What do you think?
