Alexander Black recently sent us his vision on a new
HTC concept, that’s called the EVO Style. This device is pictured below and it’s supposed to be part of a potential future sereies of models sold by Sprint. Believe it or not this is a quad core phone, but more on that in the following lines.

HTC EVO Style features a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor with a 2.1GHz frequency and also on board there’s a 5 inch Super AMOLED screen. Considering how rectangular the handset is and how little its width is, I’m guessing that the handset is extra long. Supposedly there’s a 3D camera included too, a 12 megapixel sensor at the back and a 6MP front camera. HTC EVO Style also runs Android 4.1 Ice Cream Sandwich and relies on HTC Sense 4.0 as the UI.
The HTC concept supports customizable gestures and I’m expecting some sort of special Kinect interaction here, if possible. What do you say? Is the diagonal too big for this phone, or is it just me? For some reason I see this device as a social networking smartphone and with that 3D camera it might snap a couple of decent pics to post on Google+ and Facebook.

[Thanks Alexander Black]

HTC Sensation EX II is a HTC concept phone created by Maika Sylva, from Rotterdam, Netherlands. The designer imagined a smartphone with an incredible 5.5 inch diagonal screen, that’s actually bigger than some tablets out there such as the Dell Streak and even the Samsung Galaxy Note.

HTC Sensation EX I comes Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Sense UI, probably in version 4.0, although the designer didn’t specify that. The 5.5 inch HTC features a Super LCD qHD screen with 1200 x 675 pixel resolution, a main 10 megapixel camera with autofocus and a 2 megapixel front camera. The main cam is also capable of 1080p video recording, if you’re wondering.
Other specs of this futuristic HTC include 1GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM and a Li-Ion 1730 mAh battery. The brain of the handset is a 2GHz dual core Qualcomm processor. As far as design goes, the phone keeps the classic HTC Sensation looks, but expands the front section. You know what would be cool? Having all the front area and I mean ALL be one single huge display, with the Home, Menu, Back and Search buttons also becoming part of the screen and allowing for more video viewing space.

How about a fresh HTC concept phone coming from the same
HTC Concepts page on Facebook, this time with a new logo? I’m talking about the HTC CrampX phone, that’s pictured below and it’s pretty much a combo between the HTC Rezound and HTC Sensation XL, at least as far as specifications go. This is a very thin 4.7 inch smartphone that runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

This Android 4.0 HTC handset comes with a 2GHz dual core processor, a 4.7 inch 720p HD screen and Beats Audio technology. The Sense 3.5 interface is applied on top of Ice Cream Sandwich, although I’d dare to say that HTC Sense 4.0 is required here, since Sense 3.5 doesn’t bring much improvement, as seen on the HTC Rhyme. The classic lock ring is available here on the screen of the device, while its upper side reminds me of the original HTC Sensation, as far as design goes. The capacitive buttons on the bottom seem a bit too close to the edge to be comfortable, though…
The back side looks like the HTC Sensation XL and a bit like the one of the HTC Titan, if I were to make comparisons. That’s pretty cool, but I sure hope that the case is not as weak as the one on the Sensation XL or that nasty thing like a shell on the Sensation and Sensation XE. You might not know this, but that huge shell case caused death grip…

HTC has yet to release a 5 inch device, as far as I know, so there’s no rival for the Samsung Galaxy Note just yet. That unless you count the HTC Lion EX concept, a device that I found on the HTC Concepts Facebook page. This beautiful and very thin slate has a unique feature, that allows it to measure the temperature of its surroundings.

HTC Lion EX is a quad core 2.5GHz handset with a Qualcomm S4 processor, HSPA+ connectivity and a 5 inch 720p HD Gorilla Glass display. There’s also Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Sense 4.0 on board, as well as WiFi b/g/n and 60 GHz connectivity. NFC and two new functions, uTemperature and uSlide are also in the mix here.
The first one measures temperature, while the second one I haven’t quite figured out yet. THe Lion branding seems to be heading for a series, in the view of the designer of this tablet/phone. Since there’s a Phone feature shown on the screen I can imagine this is the same sort of gizmo as the Galaxy Note, part phone, part tablet. I wonder if the HTC Scribe technology and stylus are used here… since that would make sense, considering their success on the HTC Flyer.

In case you didn’t know there’s a special Facebook page for
HTC concepts, that shows some interesting designs. They include the very original HTC Bleyback, an extremely thin and flat concept, that’s shown in the images below. The designer who created them wants to send these pictures to HTC, in order to help create a new smartphone.

The designer envisions a HTC Bleyback priced at 489 euros and its specs should be similar to the ones of the HTC Sensation XL, but with an upgrade. The back cover is also changed in comparison with the XL and I expect HTC Sense 4.0 on board here, as well as Android Ice Cream Sandwich. There’s also a special limited edition with a green/white back.
As you can see there’s Beats Audio branding on board, so the cool headphones that come with the Sensation XE and XL will be included in the mix. HTC BleyBack looks like a device that can challenge the very thin Motorola Droid RAZR to a duel, when it comes to waistline. Imagine if this device was thinner than 7mm… although the designer had something like less than 8-9mm in mind. I wonder what camera sensor can fit in such a tiny profile.

Alexander Black just sent us an email with a HTC concept that he designed, once again a device that runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Meet the HTC Pyro, a fire red devil with a 2GHz quad core Snapdragon processor and a 12 megapixel camera at the back.

Its design reminds me of a combo between the Nokia N9 and the HTC Incredible S. HTC Pyro comes with 4.8 inch Super AMOLED display, an 8 megapixel front camera, that will generate some HD video calls and Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. Considering I’ve been hearing so much about HTC quad core phones for 2012, this handset will come from concept phase to real life pretty fast, that’s for sure.
I just hope that HTC will get over the handicap of using so little RAM (768MB), so little internal memory (1GB) and poor cameras. It’s a known fact that HTC doesn’t create the best cameras on smartphones, although I have to admit that the HTC Sensation XE cam was decent. However, they’re still far from the level of Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note. Megapixels aren’t the solution here…

In case you didn’t know, there’s a very interesting Facebook page with
HTC concepts, that Hasan Kaymak has been showing us. One of the latest such designs is the HTC Air tablet, a very thin slate that can be seen in the following shots. This thin device probably measures under 8mm in thickness, if I were to guess…

Also, I suppose it’s a quad core Android 4.0 HTC Tablet with a 10 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and packing a 5 or 8 megapixel camera. The internal memory is around 32GB and the device supports 4G LTE connectivity, plus it brings a bit of HTC Sense 4.0 and HTC Scribe stylus action, as the Taiwanese company would do, if the product were real.
The sad thing here is that in real life, such a device wouldn’t stand out from the crowd and offer the same things that all the other Android tablets are offering right now. What selling point can HTC find on the tablet market to make them really unique? Any ideas? Maybe some gaming or some very cool business apps with the HTC Scribe involved?

Although I’ve had my share of ultrathin handsets, nothing compares to an innovative design… The HTC Ville is meant to be such a breath of fresh air, with a chassis below 8mm in thickness, making this device the thinnest HTC phone ever. This is supposed to be an official render of the dual core Ice Cream Sandwich phone known as Ville:

The handset comes with a Snapdragon Series 4 dual core processor at 1.5GHZ, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p capture, a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED qHD display and HTC Sense 4.0 on top of Android 4.0. HTC Ville is part of the new wave of smartphones from the Taiwanese company, that will come in 2012. This model will be unveiled at MWC 2012 and most likely launched in April next year, according to sources.
The design is pretty sleek and from the side it reminds me of a new generation of Nexus devices, if I may say so. The specs are not all that impressive, considering they’re very similar to the ones of the HTC Sensation XE, so they’re not mind blowing, especially for 2012. However, let’s see HTC Sense 4.0 in action before criticizing…

We’ve seen our share of
HTC concepts over the past week, but why stop here? Here we are again, this time with a render of the HTC Zeta, a quad core Android Ice Cream Sandwich device with an unknown designer. The good news here is that the unibody design is back and the edges are straight on this handset, so less curves.

Rumor has it that the HTC Zeta comes with a quad core 2.5GHz APQ8064 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 4.5 inch 720p HD display and it runs Android 4.0 with Sense UI on top. There’s also 32GB of internal memory on board, a 1,830 mAh battery, an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash at the back, 1080p video capture and a 1.3 megapixel camera for videocalls at the front.
Zeta is said to measure 9.8mm in thickness and it also weighs 146 grams. As far as pricing and availability go, we have no idea about the details, but we’ll keep you posted. Are you more into these sharp edges, or do you prefer a more rounded smartphone from HTC? Have you say in the comments section below!

HTC Sense 3.5 is not even out on so many devices out there and already there’s talk of Sense 4.0 and even Sense UI 4.1 Plus, the concept imagined by Hasan Kaymak. He created the HTC Classic concept phone, that you can see below, following up on a series of HTC designs created by the same man.

HTC Classic comes with a metallic case, a 9 megapixel camera with LED flash at the rear, a 2 megapixel camera at the front and a 4.7 inch 720p display. The latter reminds me of the HTC Sensation XL, aside from the resolution of the display. The device runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Sense UI 4.1 Plus and on board you’ll also find Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth Data Transfer, a new feature on the device.
The smartphone is 8.6mm thick, comes with Beats Audio technology and uSchool, an app for students that translates, solves math problems and much more. There’s also an extra GPS sensor for extra sensitive locating and finding things easier. This can’t be considered a futuristic device, since such smartphones will be seen plentiful at MWC 2012.
