Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.After the craziness of the Motorola Atrix 3 handset, that’s all over the web because of Concept Phones, we have another exciting device to look at. This one is the Motorola Nexus RAZR, the supposed next Nexus handset, of course in mere concept phase. Shaik Imaduddin created this beautiful design, that’s based on his own version of Android 5.0 Jelly Bean.

This Motorola concept uses a quad core Tegra 3 processor, although I doubt that in real life Motorola would select Nvidia instead of Texas Instruments for its CPU. The Motorola Nexus RAZR is only 7mm in thickness, has a 5 inch display and 16 megapixel camera. The fourth Nexus phone rendered here is a tad big for my liking, since I’m more a fan of 4.2 inch or 4.3 inch smartphones, but it’s still a pretty interesting device. The new Android is not a great departure from Ice Cream Sandwich, as you can see.

Considering Google bought Motorola last year, it would be a logical move for the search engine giant to make its own phone using the just bought company. Considering RAZR was the most original design approach from Moto lately, a combo between this look and the one of the Galaxy Nexus would be perfect. What do you think?

Motorola usually relies on Texas Instruments, Nvidia or Qualcomm for its processing solutions, but now they’re switching to Intel for some reason. Expect to see this phone live at MWC 2012.

No idea if they’ll use the Intel Medfield solution exactly, but that’s the favourite, considering Lenovo also relied on the same 1.6GHz CPU for the K800 smartphone shown at CES 2012. I guess that Texas Instruments will be disappointed by this choice, since they’ve been a traditional partner for Motorola for a while now. The device you see here will even sport those capacitive buttons at the bottom, the classic ones from Ice Cream Sandwich, that make that useless bezel even longer.

People have said that this design is a bit ugly for a modern phone, but I’ll leave that up to you to judge… Do you dig this model of does it look like an antique smartphone from the early 2000s? I’m not a very big fan of its design myself, especially after that nice Motorola Droid RAZR.

The Atrix was the model that brought the dual core trend to the USA and also that nifty lapdock accessory that everyone loved. The Atrix 2 was launched without too much fuss and now Bob feels that the Atrix 3 should get a bigger hype.

He imagined a monster of a phone, with the Motorola Atrix 3 using a quad core Tegra 3 processor, a finger print scanner, face unlock and support for “powerful docks and keyboards”. The handset comes with 2 GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel camera, a 4.3 inch 720p display and a very thin chassis. There’s also a 3300 mAh battery, that should give it enough juice to draw a comparison to the longevity of the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX. So, what do you say? Is there room for an Atrix 3 in the USA?

I have a hard time believing that Moto would actually use a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU, as I imagine they would rely on a TI OMAP solution or maybe even a Snapdragon.

[Thanks Bob]

The Moto Play is basically a full touch rectangle, with two movable parts at the back, that look as if joysticks were set apart from the handset.

These moving parts uncover a camera and other features of the Motorola Play include the ability to charge via wireless, just by placing the phone on a charging base. The device uses a 7 megapixel camera that takes quick snaps and this photo sensor is hidden behind two sliding parts, that can be used as joysticks in the gaming experience and as controls for the camera. The left joystick is used for zooming, while the right one is used for taking pictures (shutter button).

This looks like a very interesting Motorola concept phone, one that would fit youngsters, teens and people with an active lifestyle. I’m not sure if the slider parts make it more fragile or not and if they won’t wear out during a long period of use…

Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.The 4th Nexus Phone comes from Bob Freking, as the Google Nexus Ultima concept shown below and the first phone with Android Jellybean on board. We’re dealing here with a premiere: the first handset made by all 4 major manufacturers from the Android world: LG, Samsung, HTC and Motorola. Android Jellybean also combines the UI features of Touchwiz, Motoblur, Sense and Optimus UI.

Each of the manufacturers supplied a component from a field they excel in: Samsung gave the Exynos CPU, LG and Samsung created the display, the camera and design were done by HTC and Motorola is responsible with the build quality and the rest of the features. Google Nexus Ultima packs a 4.7 inch RGB IPS+ HD 720p display that generates 1000 nits of brightness. There’s a 2MP camera upfront with 1080p 30 fps capture and a main 13 megapixel shooter with dual LED flash and 60 fps 1080p video capture.

The back of the handset is made of kevlar and this 2012 Nexus Phone comes with a steel frame that protects the internals of the device. The CPU of choice here is a quad core Exynos 5250 (Cortex ARM A15 MP core and Mali GPU). There will also be an extreme edition of this handset, with a higher price, a Super AMOLED HD NOVA screen, a 20 megapixel camera and 5MP front cam, all of these protected with waterproof and bulletproof glass. Remember that this is only a concept, that measures 9mm in thickness!

[Thanks Bob]

Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.Since Motorola brought back the RAZR series to the modern Android age, why not do the same with the ROKR? Thus, we meet the Motorola Droid ROKR, a device that’s shown below and a concept that was created by Bob Freking. The handset comes in 64GB and 128GB versions, so it provides enough storage for people obsessed with getting all the discographies they need.

Droid ROKR comes with a dual core TI OMAP processor at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM and with an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video capture, plus a front 3 megapixel camera. The specs sound very much like the ones of the Motorola Droid RAZR, albeit with a music twist. There’s also a special Android 4.0 UI that focuses on music, according to the designer. Built in auto tone and music mixers are also included, for wannabe rappers and DJs.

HD Music is provided via headphones and recording is done in clear and sharp audio. Also, I forgot to mention the 3.7 inch 720p display, that’s an incredible resolution for such a small diagonal. Of course, this is the ultimate music phone, making us forget about the HTC models with Beats Audio or the Walkman series from Sony Ericsson…

[Thanks Bob]

Since the new Nexus will be a RAZR I’m expecting a crazy thin waistline, maybe even below 7mm. Also, this design with sharp edges is kind of nice and it has a Droid feeling to it, one that suits the new generation of Android experience. I’m expecting a 4.5 inch display here, a 720p one obviously and a quad core processor inside the handset.

The combo between red and black colors when it comes to the case is a good idea, as the HTC Sensation XE has shown us.. Not so sure about those capacitive buttons, considering that Ice Cream Sandwich includes its own on-screen keys for use with the OS navigation. If you combine what we already know about the future of Motorola with Michael’s design, we get an interesting picture of the future. The only mystery here is the camera, but I’m guessing 12MP, 1080p 60 fps video capture or close to it…

They already posted a teaser on their website and by mistake (or not) they also leaked the very first image of the Motorola Droid RAZR. Here it is:

I have to say that the profile of this handset is a total Samsung Galaxy S II ripoff, but feel free to contradict me if I’m wrong. Supposed to be the thinnest smarpthone with Android in the world, this model will probably have a chassis that’s about 8mm thick or even 7mm if that’s possible right now. NEC has proved that it’s possible to create a 7mm handset with their MEDIAS devices…

As far as specs go, the DROID RAZR should come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich, 4G LTE, a 4.3 inch display, a kevlar back case and an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video capture. Verizon will be the one unveiling it tomorrow and selling it for quite a price…

This time it’s a Motorola concept phone posted on Coroflot a couple of days ago and just as a coincidence we’re only 2 days away from the announcement of the Motorola Droid RAZR.

There’s already a teaser and leaked pics for the new RAZR, that’s expected to be incredibly thin and run Android Ice Cream Sandwich. As far as this concept is concerned, it looks like an Android model with maybe a 4 or 4.3 inch display, a 14 megapixel camera (if my eye sight is good) and a comfortable to hold back.

Maybe it’s that kevlar back we’ve been hearing so much about, that will probably make it to the next Motorola Droid device or maybe the next Motorola Xoom tablet. From this picture I can’t tell how thick the phone is, but give it anything below 8.5mm and it’s certainly a RAZR and a competitor for the Galaxy S II’s thickness. What do you think?

Thus, the concept below made by Deviantart member djeric looks more modern than ever.

This is a piece of work from 2009 so it’s all the more impressive. If a new RAZR would launch today, it would have to be about 7mm thick to make a difference, incorporate a beautiful design, maybe glossy, maybe matte, depending on what the current trend on the market is. I would also include a dual core 1.5GHz CPU on it and Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

To make a difference, I would create a RAZR UI especially for this unit, but one that doesn’t use elements from the not so lovely MOTOBLUR, that I didn’t like. All in all, this should be a fashion statement, even if a pricey one, but it wouldn’t matter much, since Moto is good at this glamour stuff, like they did with the AURA model… can they do a repeat?
