Moto Concept Looks Like a Teddy, Could be a Portable Xbox Loading ... I stumbled upon Joseph Liang’s concept just when I was starting to believe that Motorola has no surprise for the mobile industry any more. Well, they don’t, for now, but if they plan on manufacturing this handset, things might get better for them in 2009.

First of all, this Moto concept is cute and its bright green backlight present on the navigational mechanism reminds me of the trademark Xbox 360 green.

The screen is a tad small, but that didn’t seem to bother anyone when Moto Aura was first spotted. Also, notice how the device can get smaller, by inserting its lower half in the upper part of the handset. No numeric keypad is present, so I guess this is more of a music phone, though I can see 9 dots on the nav pad, so they might be used as numeric keys…

All in all, this is a great looking device, that would be a bold move from Moto, an instant hit in Asia and a definite keeper for tweens.

Motorola Atila Hands On Pictures Or Not? Loading ... After waiting for Motorola Atila to surprise us all with a Christmas launch, all we get are a couple of hands-on photos that reveal a cloned iPhone interface and the look of BlackBerry Storm. I’m convinced that this is not the handset we’re waiting for, but rather a Chinese copy of it, or simply a hybrid between the iPhone and Storm.

Does it look like the original photo revealed by Boy Genius Report (last image below)? Remember, we’re dealing with Moto’s killer device here, a touchscreen smartphone with HSDPA/WCDMA/HSUPA/GSM/EDGE/GPRS/WiFi support, Windows Mobile 6.1 and a Qualcomm 7201A.

Motorola Twirl Concept Phone is an Electronic Wallet, Car Key Loading ... Phones have gone from devices that make and receive calls to handsets that must feature a camera, most of the modern types of connectivity, some serious media playing potential a many gigs of memory.

Motorola Twirl is one of those concept phones that can be used for more than just calling, as it’s your mobile wallet, allowing you to pay bills, but also your car key, opening the door for you, when you had one too many beers.

The concept was created by Tom Riddle and, as you can see in the picture this is a three-faceted device that reminds me of a couple of leaves. Moto Twirl can also be attached to your steering wheel in order to start the car and some of you gamers might notice that the layout of the concept phone’s keypad resembles the one of a joystick.

Motorola Krave ZN4 Gets an Early Release Loading ... Motorola will release its touchscreen saviour, the Krave ZN4 handset next week, but a lucky Verizon user managed to get his hands on this device, a couple of days before the official launch. He seems very impressed by this phone, specially when it comes to audio quality (speaker, call quality).

Also, we find out that Krave ZN4 is a BIG device like the v9m, features a glass touchscreen (not a plastic one), allows the user to read messages with the lid closed and is a texting wonderkid. ZN4 also gets compared to Dare and wins in most important aspects. Looking forward to seeing its first video review…

Motorola CABO i890, iDEN Handset Coming this Year? Loading ... Motorola’s finally preparing a RAZR 2-style device, one that supports iDEN and has a 3 megapixel camera. Add an external touchscreen to that, Bluetooth, support for a 6GB SD card and a great piano black body. Seems we’ll even see a ModeShift keypad on CABO, while the rest of the specs are a mystery till now.

There’s even a supposed launch period for the Motorola i890, Q4 2008, so we’re bound to get an announcement soon enough.

Motorola Briq Concept Phone is a Touchscreen Dual Slider Loading ... I received an email just the other day, that had a beautiful concept design attached: the Motorola Briq. No details at all about it, but there was a name at the end of the email, Piotr Paczkowski, who is, I suspect, the designer of the handset. We’re dealing with a dual sliding beauty, with a very, very strange keypad, a diagonal numeric one on the right and a half QWERTY on the left.

Motorola Briq Concept Phone is a Touchscreen Dual Slider

UPDATE: The creator of the phone above sent me a list of its spec. Here it is:

- dual slider with two independent keyboards
- EDGE/HSDPA/UMTS/GSM
- touchscreen (1:2 or 2:1)
- 256 MB  RAM and 256 MB ROM
- CPU 450 MHz
- internal memory 8GB and microSDHC
- WiFi
- Bluetooth
- GPS
- 3,2 mpx camera with autofocus
- Windows Mobile 6, with free update to Windows Mobile 7

As far as I can see, this is a touchscreen device that comes with a decent looking headset and a tiny remote with music controls. Oh, I forgot to mention that there was also a link the email, which pointed me towards the following picture.

Another mysterious Motorola handset… Any ideas?

Motorola Z12 Eclipse Concept Strikes Back Ready For Fame? Loading ... While HTC’s officially announcing three new Touch handsets, we’ve stumbled upon yet another concept version of the Motorola Z12. It was created by the same Flickr user as before, kizazzz, but this time we get to see its interface and check out a few specs.

Motorola Z12 Eclipse Concept Strikes Back Ready For Fame?

We’re dealing with a 50 mm wide device, in its top section and 45 in the bottom section, while the depth goes from the 3 mm at the top to the 7 mm at the bottom and 10 mm, when the handset’s closed. The Motorola Eclipse weighs 118 grams and comes with a high quality tempered glass front and brushed aluminium back plate.

The camera’s got the same 5 megapixel sensor as before, plus the Xenon flash, while the device uses the revolutionary Orb interface (heard of it?). Also, the rest of the specs are pretty predictable: 8 gigs of internal memory, 3G, WiFi and multimedia features. We want a video of the device, please?

Motorola Z12 Looks Playful, Features a Cool Camera

Motorola Z12 Looks Playful, Features a Cool Camera Loading ... Last time I heard rumors about the Motorola Z12, the handset was divided into two parts, the bottom one being touch sensitive. Also, thanks to a teaser we found out that the Z12 would come with a 16M colour VGA resolution 2.8″ display and a 5 megapixel camera. Well, at least the camera is still there in this concept design created by Kizazzz.

The camera also features a Xenon Flash and what puzzles me is the “Coming Soon” promise on the pic of the phone. Is the real handset coming soon or a better concept design?

Motorola Woll, There’s a Bit of Nokia Aeon in Everyone…

(2 votes, average: 1.00 out of 5)

Motorola Woll, Theres a Bit of Nokia Aeon in Everyone... Loading ... Few people have discussed the Motorola Woll concept phone so far, but I’m ready to jump into this pool of speculations. First of all, it resembles the Nokia Aeon quite a bit and it’s a very long device, maybe comparable to that Intel Phone concept we saw at the beginning of 2008.

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

Aside from that, the Woll is thin, features 2 touchscreens (I may be wrong here), a virtual keyboard and … Windows Vista!? At least that’s what the display says, accompanied by the TIM logo… There’s also a camera in the mix, but the details end here, for now. Not going into production soon, I suppose.

Motorola Atila Leaked Picture and Specs

Motorola Atila Leaked Picture and Specs Loading ... Motorola might (almost) be the last company in the world preparing an iPhone rival, but they’re doing it in style and naming the device “Atila”. This handset was recently leaked on the Internet, so now we can check out its specs and picture, but surely things will change as more rumours surface.

Motorola Atila Leaked Picture and Specs

We’re talking about a touch tablet-like device with WCDMA 850/1900/2100 support plus HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA 1.8 Mbps connectivity. Also, Motorola Atila will use GSM 850/900/1800/1900, EDGE Class 12, GPRS Class 12 and WiFi 802.11 b/g to connect from anywhere in the world. It’s 80 x 109 x 13.75 mm handset, with a 2.8″ QVGA TFT 240 x 320 screen and a 1130 mAh battery.

The specs list ends with a Qualcomm 7201A chipset, an internal antenna and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. We’d surely like to see GPS and a hot interface on that list, but who knows, as this might be the first of a long series of Atila-related rumours.
