Big Brother Concept Phone is a KDDI Scary Idea

In the latest Batman movie, “The Dark Knight”, the superhero uses Gotham’s handsets to “look through walls” in order to find out the position of the villains… Seems that this feature will soon be heading to KDDI phones as well, because the scientists of this company created a prototype that can use geomagnetic sensors, accelerometers and GPS to reveal its location.
This futuristic gizmo will render its surroundings on-screen in OpenGL and even cover areas that are not in sight. Is this the beginning of a huge Big Brother experiment conducted with the aid of our handsets?
You might not want to take your phone with you in order to hear someone calling the next time you take a shower… Who knows who’s spying?
