Talk about viral sites! Nokia has done it again, by making us feel like Lara Croft and Indy while we’re exploring the mystery of a … video.
OpenAtYourOwnRisk.com is their latest viral site, that greets you a pretty easy to solve puzzle and reveals the details of the “game”.

They talk of some royalties creating a clip “of grande weirdness” hundreds of years ago. Also the site mentions that this clip was hidden inside a box and that it’s protected by 4 seals. Of course we get clues, but they’re hidden in artefacts like Edison’s lightbulb, Apollo 11 and the Nokia Download Store.
The enigma will be cleared on Monday, July 7, but I bet that everyone will be celebrating the 4th of July and won’t have time to trouble their heads with such riddles. I smell a Nokia Tube launch… Do you?

Nokia’s first touchscreen phone might be just around the corner, as we’ve seen it featured in the poster below bearing the name “Nokia
XpressMusic 5800“.

This is a SMS Shop poster, but there aren’t many details about the S60 device, except for the fact that it will support WLAN and HSDPA. While most of us were waiting for an “XpressMedia” device, Nokia has decided to go with a more media-oriented handset, or so it seems.

After seeing the
G902 concept phone and the
Shiho, it’s time for some Walkman action, as we check out the Sony Ericsson Alicia handset. It seems to be a clamshell device, ready for that rumoured 17 June announcement we’ve heard of. He have no info on the phone, except for what we see, a dial pad-like front control and a frontal camera module.

It’s raining
Nokia beauties, while the iPhone 3G hype is decreasing, so Sony Ericsson couldn’t hide their latest Cyber-shot wonder any more. We’ve got the first pics of the famous “Shiho”, the Sony Ericsson C905 handset, that features an 8 megapixel camera. Also, a couple of specs surfaced, just hours ago…

We remind you that the handset is not official yet, as for the specs, it comes with that above-mentioned 8.1 megapixel camera (with VGA video capture) and a 2.4 inches QVGA screen. Also, the C905 packs GPS, Bluetooth and HSDPA support under the same hood.
No info on the price or the launch date yet, but it should be about 550 euros or $ 770.

Not getting enough out of your PSP or Nintendo DS? Yes, we’ve shown you
PSP Phone concepts, but the real thing’s always better. This time we have some official and confirmed info that claims Sony Ericsson signed a deal with GestureTek, in order to create a Nintendo Wii-style gaming experience and port it to the SE phones.

The new software will rely on the one used on the Eye Toy device and it’ll make use of the new handsets’ camera, working just like the accelerometer does in the case of some Nokia devices. There are also 2 titles mentioned as compatible with the new handset/software: Crash Bandicoot and Super Monkey Ball.
Can the phone using GestureTek’s technology really be the long-awaited PSP Phone? We’ll just have to wait for Fall 2008 to find out…

The Kyocera BLK phone seems pretty promising and comes with a decent list of specs, unless you take into account the design, that seems borrowed from an older Nokia phone you’re very likely to guess.

Amit Singh created this concept and this Kyocera phone includes 1GB SD memory, an MP3 player, Internet, email, a 3.2 megapixel camera, PC plug and play support, a speaker and voice recorder.
Next time be original, OK?

The Glovephone is only a concept for now (Yay!) and it must be the ugliest piece of gadgetry I’ve seen lately. It connects via Bluetooth to your headset and can be used in extreme conditions. I guess that if you find yourself stranded at the end of the world design doesn’t matter much, so the phone is OK then.

One of its most interesting features is the fact that it automatically dials 911 in case you get into a fist fight. Just don’t let Rocky Balboa get a hold of it, or he’ll surely make about a million phone calls with his fists.

Wow! Check out that
3G iPhone…again?! It’s probably the fifth time I’m seeing the “real” deal handset, so I won’t believe any picture till I see the genuine launch date edition of the device. The
iPhone 2.0 is yet again “plasticky” and curved, making rumour for a bigger battery in order to stand that 3G battery drainer.

It would be a pretty weird choice for Apple, now that even the MacBook and iPod aren’t white any more, but the even worse thing is that there’s no front camera for videocalls incorporated. Let’s just hope it’s a good Photoshop, not a bad spy pic.

After checking out the BlackBerry Bold and wishful thinking about the
Thunder 9500, it’s BlackBerry Kickstart’s turn to surface, in black. It’s RIM’s first attempt at designing a clamshell, but a terrible idea of incorporating a QWERTY keypad if you ask me.
It seems like a real handset, for now, but sometimes we wish certain handsets were rumours…

The folks of Allaboutsymbian imagined the future of the
Nokia N-series and designed a fresh N100 unit. It solves all of the issues of the previous handsets, like the dim screen of the N82, or the unprotected camera glass of the Nokia N95 8GB. The
N100 comes with a 2.8 inch display, the same as the E61 and N95 8GB.

Also, the concept features an N82-style protected 5 megapixel rear camera that also records VGA video. Troubled by the sunny weather when using your smartphone? Forget about that, because the N100 features a transflective screen plus GPS, WiFi and a BP-4L 1500 mAh battery.
It measures 120 x 51 x 12 mm and weighs 104 grams, plus it comes with a numeric keypad with discrete, large numbers, application shortcut keys plus microUSB jack, a 3.5 mm stereo audio/TV out jack. There’s no info on the RAM, processor or the internal memory of the device, but I bet that it packs some steam, even in that segment.
