Nokia Windows 8 Tablet Tiviti 9210 Runs on Snapdragon S4 CPU, Super IPS+ Display

Meet the Nokia Tiviti 9210, a Windows 8 slate with some very appealing specifications. Andy Weir of Neowin imagined this device and the result were the pictures below. This slate runs Windows 8 RT on top of a dual core Snapdragon S4 processor at 1.5 GHz.

This is a 10.1 inch tablet with a Super IPS+ LCD ClearBlack display with a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution and Gorilla Glass 2 protection. It weighs 575 grams and features 1GB of SDRAM, 32/64GB of storage, a 7700 mAh battery with 12 hours of functioning time and an 8 megapixel camera at the back. The camera has a 2.2 aperture, 28mm focal length and supports full HD video capture at 30 fps with stereo audio capture. The Nokia Windows 8 tablet also has a 2MP front camera, accelerometer, Glonass, AGPS, gyroscope and proximity sensor.

On the connectivity side, it offers WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, DLNA, microUSB and a 3.5mm audio jack. There’s even pricing envisioned here, so for example you’ll pay $499 for the 32 GB WiFi + 4G version. The 64GB one will cost $629 and these are pretty reasonable price tags. Also know that the product measures 8.8mm in thickness, so only a bit thicker than the Transformer Prime. Would you buy this tablet instead of the iPad 3?

Nokia Prodigy is a Flagship Phone, Created Through Research

Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.Bob Freking did some research before creating the Nokia Prodigy concept phone and came up with an interesting idea for a Windows Phone 8 device. Nokia Prodigy runs this OS and offers 16 to 64 GB of storage and 1GB of RAM, all of them borrowed from the Nokia N9.

At the back we have a 41 megapixel PureView camera, perhaps even a smaller sensor than on the first PureView phone. Nokia Prodigy does 1080p video capture, a ClearBlack HD display with AMOLED technology and inside there’s a 1.85 GHz Nova A9540 processor, a dual core one actually. The GPU is a PowerVR SGX 544 and other specs include NFC, a front facing camera, a microSD card slot and the latest in Windows Phone apps. Skype is also integrated into the experience and available through the front camera.

I say that this project is doable and that around this fall or winter we’ll see something like this in the stores. I’m really curios what CPU Nokia will choose and how they will be able to evolve their displays to a modern level. Also, the PureView camera would make a fine addition to a Windows Phone 8 model.

Nokia Lumia 850 Design Comes Straight Out of Luxembourg

Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.Brian Bovi, the designer of the Xperia Pop Windows Phone model is now back with a Lumia concept. The designer is from Luxembourg and this time he envisioned the Nokia Lumia 850, based on nothing else than his own imagination. Brian wanted to create a successor the Nokia Lumia 800 and the result can be seen in the pictures below.

We’re dealing here with a 3.8 inch smartphone with a high res display, curved glass, plastic body and an 8 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens. This model also has a stereo speaker system and the shape of the Nokia Lumia 850 is described as “edgeless” by the designer. As you can see, this phone supports LTE connectivity and I’d imagine it in the portofolio of AT&T in the USA. It’s a pretty wide device that tries to keep all the physical buttons on a single side, the right one.

You can find the volume buttons, On/OFF button and camera button on that side. At the top we have what looks like the microSIM card slot, if I’m not mistaking. I like the form factor of this device and this wide approach could be interesting in the future. Do you prefer the longer Lumia 800 or the wider Lumia 850? Nokia N1 Runs Android 4.0, Features PureView 41MP Camera

We’ve already seen Android 4.0 ported to the Nokia N9 and now Deviantart use Slatd created this render that shows us a potential future Nokia model. Meet the Nokia N1, the very first model to run Android 4.0 ICS preinstalled.

This phone comes with the 41 megapixel Nokia PureView camera sensor, a HD ClearBlack display and the pure Google experience. Since right now Nokia is teamed up with Microsoft there’s no way you’ll see something like this, but give it some time and maybe Nokia will come around and get rid of Windows Phone. It’s interesting to see those capacitive buttons below the display on the device and they actually look pretty nice. The creator of this 41 megapixel Android cameraphone says that he took the Lumia 800 as inspiration.

So, this means we’re dealing with a 3.7 inch smartphone with upgraded resolution, probably the best pixel density out there since it’s 720p on a smaller than usual diagonal. I’ve seen a while ago some Nokia N9 clones made in China and they ran Android, so it’s actually possible to fulfill your fantasy of owning that shell for a device and with a custom OS of your choice.

Dubbed the Nokia Atlas, this model was created by Bob Freking and it’s more of a list of specs and a shade of the handset than a real concept. We’re dealing here with a supposed project of Nokia, Razer and Intel, that give you the ultimate portable gaming experience.

We’ve got a 1.5GHz x86 dual core Intel CPU, 2 GB of RAM and a custom build of Windows Phone, specifically created around the Xbox experience and focused on gaming. There’s also a 41 megapixel PureView camera at the back and I’m expecting a top notch screen here, maybe something like 4.5 inches Super AMOLED Plus with 1080p resolution, that would blow the competition away. Sony tried its hand at a PSP Phone and that didn’t work out so well, but if Microsoft, Nokia and Intel give it a go they might make it.

Let’s just hope that such a model won’t end up like the Microsoft Kin phones. And how about including Kinect on this Nokia Atlas smartphone? What do you say?

Nokia Lumia PureView 920 Runs Windows Phone 8, Uses 12MP Powerful Camera

Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.We’ve seen the combination between the Lumia and Pureview series from Nokia a bunch of times so far and here’s yet another Nokia concept phone based on this idea. The creation of Jonas Dahnert, Nokia Lumia PureView 920 is a Windows Phone 8 Apollo device with a 12 megapixel PureView camera and a quad core processor.

The design seems the standard one of the Lumia 800/900 models, so it’s all polycarbonate and straight edges. The Lumia 920 comes with a 4.3 inch screen with 720p resolution, a 2000 mAh battery, support for 1080p video capture and the screen is curved. There’s also a front facing camera on board and a Xenon flash. This Lumia newcomer also features a camera button and strangely enough it lacks the classical Windows Phone capacitive keys. They could make an appearance when you swipe or contextually…

Landscape view is also supported and there’s the concept of tile grouping via an app called New Groups. Nokia Lumia PureView 920 has a metallic back and another good thing is that Xenon flash with LED assist, so I expect clear shots, even in poor lighting conditions. One single problem here: Nokia already made 3 phones with the same design (N9, Lumia 800 and 900). Is there room for a fourth one?

The first I’m going to show you is the Nokia Lumia S, a Windows Phone 8 Apollo smartphone with a 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor and a 4.5 inch 1280 x 720 pixel display (ClearBlack HD). There’s also that nifty PureView camera in the mix…

Nokia Lumia S features a 41 megapixel camera sensor with 2160p HD video recording. Other specs of this WP8 phone include 2 GB of RAM, a case that’s 9mm thick and a stainless steel scratchproof coating. 32GB of internal memory, SD card support and Bluetooth 4.0 are also on board. The design reminds me a bit of the Lumia 800/900 and that rectangular area at the bottom with the Windows Phone keys is an interesting aspect, although white may not be the right choice for it.

I wonder if this is a LTE phone with a front camera…. since modern WP8 device will most likely come with these functions. Also, in case you’re wondering, the real Windows Phone Apollo units will support dual core processors, so this device is pretty realistic. Get ready for some new Bob Freking concept phones in the following days!

Nokia PureView Lumia Windows Phone 8 Units Looks Like a Conceptual Design

It would involve some very risky design choices from both Microsoft and Nokia and I’m not sure they’re ready to make the plunge into an extremely curved device with a big camera bulk…

This model is supposed to feature a 4.3 inch Curved Glass display with HD resolution, a 41 megapixel camera sensor, similar to the one on the Nokia PureView model shown at MWC 2012. This camera would use Carl Zeiss lens, PureView imagine technology and support 1080p full HD recording and rich recording technology. Inside the Lumia PureView you’d find a dual core processor with Adreno 320 GPU, most likely the Qualcomm S4 CPU that’s been everywhere lately, from the HTC One series to the ASUS PadFone.

Finally I can’t help but notice that the Home button on the device sports the Windows 8 logo. Will Windows Phone 8 finally achieve that platform unification we’ve heard rumors about, between Win 8 and WP7? In the end I can’t help but ask you: do you see this as a real device or merely a prototype that will change design when it’s finalized?

Nokia 802 Concept is Transparent, Features… Symbian

I’m talking about the Nokia 802 concept, a beautiful transparent phone, but one that runs Symbian Belle if I’m not mistaking. This is the creation of Thair Joudi. At least it could have had MeeGo…

Well, getting over this whining, some people actually love Symbian and consider it a viable OS. As far as the device goes, it’s a slab of transparent material that reminds me of the Nokia futuristic phone spotted in the movie Real Steel. There are tons of ways you can use a transparent display phone, one of them being a huge viewfinder for your camera, plus tons of augmented reality applications, interaction with NFC tags and live photo tagging/geotagging and identification of Facebook contacts.

If I were to phantasize I’d say that about 6 phones like this, united through a revolutionary technology could create a tablet or something close to it. Sadly there are bezels standing in the way of that project. Anyway, this render is great and I hope it gets a lot of appreciation.

Well, Tasak already imagined a concept of a device likes this, that he named Nokia Lumia 1000. This handset is pictured below, it runs Windows 8 and features a 41 megapixel PureView camera, just like the one on the Nokia 808 PureView.

Nokia Lumia 1000 features an Intel ATOM Z2580 dual core 1.8 GHz processor, a PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU at 533 MHz and a 4.3 inch AMOLED 1024 x 768 pixel display. Other specs include a microSD card slot, 64 GB of internal memory, 2 GB RAM and a secondary VGA camera with 30 fps video recording (VGA). The Nokia concept also offers NFC, USB 3.0 on the go, an accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, stereo FM radio, infrared, Bluetooth, WiFI, GPS and a QWERTY keyboard with joystick.

Apparently, there’s also a TV function this 41 megapixel cameraphone. It’s strange to see Windows 8 on this handset instead of Windows Phone Apollo, but from what I’ve heard Win 8 and WP8 won’t be that different… How much would you price this phone if it was real?
