Nokia wanted to find out the opinion of people from all around the globe, regarding their handsets, so they set out for places like Mumbai or Rio and asked folks to describe their ideal phones. You can admire one of the results below, created by Sam, an artist from Accra. Meet the Nokia N100:

The handset is a “do it all” device, designed for businessmen and it features a DVD player, mini laptop, cable TV, Bluetooth, speaker and tons of other features that would make your desktop PC unnecessary, once you use the N100.

No news about the Nokia Tube phone yet, but any concept device bearing the
Nokia logo and featuring a touchscreen is a candidate to the title of “most wanted iPhone rival”. Nokia SURV1 is a concept phone that targets “outdoorish” users, so it’s a shock resistant and water proof device that also features a touchscreen.

Nokia SURV1 only relies on the touch interface, when it comes to input and it includes an MP3 player and a GPS. The resilient display can be used like a flashlight at any time. I’m still waiting for the Tube, though…

We don’t know much about the golden concept phone you see in the picture below, except for the fact that it was designed by David Kucharsky and that it shows the most famous football referee in the world – Pierluigi Collina on its display.
In this case, the Nokia branded device must have some connection with the upcoming European Football Championship, including related content and maybe the competition’s logo.

Also, this concept phone seems rugged enough to last throughout the entire championship, even in the hands of the most passionate fans, who’ll throw it in the air or try to “squeeze” it when their team receives a goal. The handset comes in silver, gold and bronze, as most sports medals do, so maybe the device celebrates the Beijing Olympics, too.

We’ve shown you Nokia concept phones
designed for kids or
gamers, but now’s the time for the ladies to get their own fashionable device: the Nokia Roxo. It was designed by Sara Fortier, from Ottawa, Ontario and comes in an organic shape, incorporating an active matrix LCD screen that transforms into a mirror when the display isn’t used.
Could this comfortable concept phone signal a return of the L’Amour series or is it just the background pattern fooling me?

When you’re dealing with a phone that’s
designed for children, you’ll have to think like one, so that’s what I did and I started wondering what the deal with the handset’s central front button was.
Is that a phonebook or Batman’s logo? Of course it’s a phonebook, you’ll say, but there’s always a slight chance of something fun popping up in those concept phones. This device was designed by Cromosoma 23 and posted on Coroflot.

Other than that I have to say that I love the phone’s sexy curves, but I’m guessing that it’s a bit big to be appealing in this age of technology, even for a kid. Also, if it’s really a handset for children it has to feature games, or else it’ll be the second choice gadget the kids will be using, right after the portable consoles.

Well
Nokia knows better than to give a handheld gaming device another go, considering their lack of success with the N-Gage. While they’re getting ready for a N-Gage platform experience, Cromosoma 23 from Coroflot shows us Nokia DA-GAME, a handheld console designed for father and son experiences.

I see that the device only features a D-pad plus two more buttons on its back and a pretty decent display. Unless that display is a touchscreen, we won’t be playing anything better than Tetris, Asteroids or Pong. I guess they’ll do, specially if these gadgets are bought by parents for their 5 year old who has never heard of the PSP.

So many
Nokia handsets in the headline above, that your head is probably spinning by now, but no faster than a G-Unit bling-bling. Why did I bring those rappers up? Just look at the following handset’ s logo, the one of the series… doesn’t it remind you of the G-Unit “font”? Nokia Mc36 is an “Mc series” phone that can be considered a hybrid between Nokia 3650 and the 6630 model.
The beauty below was designed by Mohamad Moraa ‘D, from Tehran, Iran and published on Coroflot.

The keypad looks pretty nice, as it’s a combination between a smartphone’s typical keyboard and a keypad. Don’t quite know how functional it can be, but hey this is a concept, so, as far as looks go, I’m pleased with that. Nokia Mc36 features a VGA camera, for videocalls, so it’s a 3G device and we’ll add to its specs list a 3.1 MP camera that comes with a decent Flash Light.

A semicircle-shaped speaker completes this phone and it’s placed above the phone’s main camera. Will we see this on the market? I sure, hope … G!

Strangely enough this phone is considered by most people a real handset, upon checking it out, instead of the concept it is. Truth be told it’s a great concept design and it almost managed to convince me that it’s E51′s successor. However, there’s something fishy about this pic and it might just be the best Photoshopped concept phone ever.

Imagine a combination between E50, E51 and E65 with a … Cingular branding? Too bad that Cingular is now AT&T so there are only two options left, either it’s an old concept phone or a slider version of E50, that Nokia forgot to release on the market. Don’t get your hopes up, though.

After the
N98, the
N88, the
Nokia 101 and the
Helsinki concept phone comes this bad, black handset, the Nokia N99 concept. It’s a mean, mean calling/texting/video recording machine featuring an 8 megapixel camera, 16GB internal memory, a 3.2″ display and GPS.
How about that D-pad? Was it designed with N-Gage games in mind or just comfortable navigation?

Also on the specs list of this phone we find MP3 playback, DivX, MPEG and AVI video playback and WiFi. Here’s the old N99 concept below, that we saw an year ago, about the time when the patent of this device surfaced on the Internet. So Nokia, which is it going to, QWERTY or D-pad?

Nokia 101 is yet another product for 2015, seemingly the ideal year for passing to a new generation of mobile phones.
Morph is also destined for that year, but let’s see what Nokia 101 brings new. Designed by Giandaniele Asquini and the product of research and collaboration with Nokia, this device uses magnets placed on 3 sides of the phone.

These magnets create new and original hinges and allow the handset to morph into an address book, a normal phone or various other devices. The magnet-based mechanism allows the Nokia 101 display to rotate freely and I wonder if it’s a touchscreen or it’s based on E-paper technology (or maybe both?).

As you can see, Nokia 101 is perfect for web surfing and it features handwriting recognition, also being the ideal handset for messaging. Last, but not least, you can admire the phone as it follows the latest trends and “collides” with another Nokia 101, with the aid of magnets, creating a bigger display, used to play games like Need for Speed or watch quality TV.
Also, it’ll create a decent notebook, for you to write your homework on or just blog. These designs were exposed at the Air Gallery in London in May 2006.
