Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 Mockup Comes From Germany

Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 Mockup Comes From Germany Loading ... We deal with mockups, renders and prototypes here at Concept Phones, not only designs, so after showing you the Galaxy Tab 11.6 idea from a couple of days ago, now we have a new mockup from the German site TabTech.de. They report that Samsung will introduce this 11.6 inch tablet at MWC 2012 and they give us this mockup for comparison sake, with the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 Mockup Comes From Germany

Rumors say we’re dealing with a dual core 2GHz Exynos 5250 tablet, with a 11.6 inch display that supports a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The S Pen stylus is also expected to be supported and bundled here and I’m guessing that we’re going to get a 5 or 8 megapixel camera, 16/32GB of internal memory, LTE, NFC, WiFi, GPS, DLNA and as few ports as possible, keeping with the Samsung tradition of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9.

What I’m worried about is how portable this device will be, considering its diagonal size. If it’s anywhere below 650 grams, it will be OK and it’s less than 9mm thick we’re saved… and I trust Samsung to deliver that. On the previous Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 concept I’ve shown you some comments said that they’d rather have a big, not so portable device, but all the performance they need. Do you agree?

Sony Xperia Vision, a Device With Both Windows Phone and Android, Plus a 3D Display

Sony Xperia Vision, a Device With Both Windows Phone and Android, Plus a 3D Display Loading ... Sony Ericsson Xperia Vision is a concept created by Shaik Imaduddin, a device that runs both Windows Phone and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The interface of Android ICS is a custom one, as shown in the images below. This is a PlayStation certified phone, a 4.3 inch 3D Bravia screen and a dual core processor.

Sony Xperia Vision, a Device With Both Windows Phone and Android, Plus a 3D Display

Sony Xperia Vision also has a 12 megapixel 3D camera with 1080p HD video recording and Sony Xplod audio technology. There’s also a Walkman audio player on board, as you can see and I bet that the 3D graphics look stunning in this case, unlike the LG Optimus 3D and HTC EVO 3D. I wish Samsung would make a move on the 3D market, but they don’t seem interested, so Sony could grab the opportunity. I have yet to understand the deal with the semicircle at the top of the phone, but it may just be a design gimmick, like the ring on the Xperia Ray.

I guess it lights up when you get notifications. Overall the design reminds me of the Xperia Arc combined with the Samsung Omnia 7. Any ideas you’d like to add to it? Cool Tron fonts by the way…

Designer Jsus is Back With the French Free Phone Design Loading ... Designer Jsus recently sent me an email regarding an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich concept phone made by “free”, a French phone operator. Not sure if this carrier exists, so if you live in France you may confirm. As far as the device goes, it looks very much like a Samsung unit for me, combined a bit with the rectangular edges of the iPhone 4.

Designer Jsus is Back With the French Free Phone Design

The handset runs Android 4.0 and uses the classic button layout for ICS with something that looks like a loading area at the bottom. If I were to guess, I’d say this is a 1.5GHz dual core handset, with a 4.1 inch display, 16GB of internal memory, 1GB of RAM and an 8 megapixel camera. LTE, NFC, a front camera, a 1700 mAh battery and a microSD card slot would make nice additions, but as long as Jsus doesn’t reveal anything else, I can only speculate.

Considering the name of the phone’s maker is “free”, should I expect it to be available for free on contract?

Samsung Galaxy S III Render/Mockup With TouchWiz 5.0 on Board

Samsung Galaxy S III Render/Mockup With TouchWiz 5.0 on Board Loading ... Shaik Imaduddin recently sent us a brand new Samsung Galaxy S III concept, one that strays from the usual designs, as you can see in the image below. We’re still dealing with an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich handset, with TouchWiz 5.0 UI on it, but the looks are different than one would expect. This looks like a device that borrows a bit from the design traits of the new Sony Xperia units…

Samsung Galaxy S III Render/Mockup With TouchWiz 5.0 on Board

This Galaxy S III features an UI with on-screen buttons for Android 4.0 and a 4.65 inch Super AMOLED Plus HD display, a 12 megapixel camera at the back and 3.2 megapixel camera at the front and the long awaited quad core Exynos processor. You also get 2 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage and I’m really curious what type of battery such a model will have. It should be around 2000 mAh, or even 3000 mAh, if it wants to juice up the handset enough for a day of functioning time.

Also, I can see that there’s an S Note app in there, so this new Galaxy S model might be compatible with the stylus on the Galaxy Note or other similar accessories. Anyway, we’ll see the real deal next month at Mobile World Congress 2012 and compare it to these mockups…

Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 Quad Core Exynos Tablet is Actually Real

Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 Quad Core Exynos Tablet is Actually Real Loading ... Considering all the rumors I’ve heard recently about a quad core Samsung Galaxy tablet with a 11.6 inch display, Bob Freking’s concept below is very close to reality. He created a device called Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6, a tablet that’s a direct rival to the iPad 3 and relies on a brand new ARM A15 Exynos processor, the quad core kind with 1GHz frequency.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 Quad Core Exynos Tablet is Actually Real

The Galaxy Tab 11.6 comes with a 5MP rear camera, a front 2MP HD cam, Android Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz UX and a HDMI port, plus card slot. The slate will measure a mere 8mm, so it will be very thin and portable. This Samsung concept tablet is supposed to support a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution and use AMOLED technology for its screen. The resolution rivals with the Retina Display rumored for the new iPad, but I guess we’ll have to wait till MWC 2012 to see the real deal.

Some guys claim that they’ve actually seen this tablet in the backstage at CES 2012, but they weren’t allowed to take photos of it. So, what do you say: would you buy a Galaxy Tab 11.6 or is it too big diagonal-wise?

Nokia Touch and Type Design With Nokia Belle OS on Board, Sliding QWERTY Keyboard

Nokia Touch and Type Design With Nokia Belle OS on Board, Sliding QWERTY Keyboard Loading ... It’s been a while since I’ve see a Nokia device with a portrait sliding QWERTY form factor… let alone one with a touchscreen display and a keyboard of this type. Meet the Nokia Touch & Type True concept, created by FireDragon and published on Mynokiablog.com. The handset is supposedly from the C2-06 range and it comes with a main home button below the display.

Nokia Touch and Type Design With Nokia Belle OS on Board, Sliding QWERTY Keyboard

This dream Nokia is pocketable, user-friendly, made for single hand use, it has an optical trackpad and a 3.2 inch touchscreen display. The phone runs Nokia Belle on top of a 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM and 4 or 8 GB of internal storage, plus a microSD card slot. A 5/8 megapixel camera is on board, as well as a front cam, for videocalling. And finally, the Nokia Touch & Type slider comes with GPS, WiFi, USB otg, a kickstand and a 1700 mAh battery, that should provide a long time of functioning.

Know that the camera on this device is able to scan a business card with readable content and the main appeal of the phone you see here is the ability to type very fast on its portrait QWERTY keyboard. The designer dismisses landscape sliders, finding them annoying and disturbing when traveling and during meetings.

Nokia Diamond Has Sharp Corners, Triangle-Shaped Camera

Nokia Diamond Has Sharp Corners, Triangle Shaped Camera Loading ... Nokia Diamond is a concept created by Richard Malachowski, from China, who envisions a device with sharp edges and corners and overall and aerodynamic and aggressively shaped smartphone. This Nokia design also involves a triangle-shaped camera sensor and a back side that seems to sport a wood surface. The device may have the many corners of a diamond, but still it’s able to sit right on a flat surface.

Nokia Diamond Has Sharp Corners, Triangle Shaped Camera

With so many corners on the Nokia Diamond one would expect it to sting the user’s hand, to be honest. Also, it can feel a bit uncomfortable in the palm of the user, but at least it’s unique in form factor and it looks very light and slim. I have no real specs for this model, so I suppose we’re dealing with a 4 inch touch display smartphone with Clear Black AMOLED technology, Symbian Belle or MeeGo as the OS of choice, 1 GB of RAM, a 1GHz processor and a 5 or 8 megapixel camera at the back.

The volume buttons on this baby also seem to be wooden, just like the battery cover, while the rest of the phone might as well be polycarbonate. Of course, the wood-like side can be an imitation, but I doubt Nokia would resort to such materials. In the end I see this as a fashion phone, considering its shape, name, materials and form factor.

Windows 8 Watch Phone Is the Coolest Gadget Dick Tracy Could Have

Windows 8 Watch Phone Is the Coolest Gadget Dick Tracy Could Have Loading ... Although Mithun Darji, the creator of this watch phone concept says that this is a Windows 7 device, I tend to believe it’s either based on Windows Phone 7 or Windows 8, considering those tiles. It’s still a pretty cool device, that Dick Tracy would wear in a heartbeat. The wrist watch with phone functions can do many tasks, it integrates media playback keys, Bluetooth and WiFi.

Windows 8 Watch Phone Is the Coolest Gadget Dick Tracy Could Have

It also integrates an earpiece, volume buttons and 4 shortcut keys at the bottom, that looks like call/end call keys, a button for the web browser and probably a Back button. I guess that there’s also a camera on board and at least 8GB of storage should be available on the watch phone. The designer says that the styling of the device is inspired by the retro-futurist trend and the Matrix movie, as far as form factor is concerned. I’ve always thought that the tiles from Windows Phone would be great on a watch, considering they can take up a small space and still be easy to use.

After all, this will be the idea behind the future generations of low end Windows Phone models, that Windows Phone Tango will support with 320 x 240 pixel resolutions, according to rumors, plus QWERTY keyboards. I’d see Windows Phone running on a watch, especially since it only requires a small resolution , a mere 1GHz CPU and only 512MB of RAM. Also, the price will be decent if someone like Huawei or LG makes it…

iPad 3 Design and Specs Sound Realistic

iPad 3 Design and Specs Sound Realistic Loading ... And here’s yet another design from Bob Freking, this time an iPad 3 imaginary product. We’re dealing here with a collection of pretty realistic specs and pretty much the same form factor as the previous iPad units, plus a Home button that seems tweaked and turned into a capacitive one, according to Bob, the creator of the concept.

iPad 3 Design and Specs Sound Realistic

The iPad 3 here uses an Apple A6 quad core processor, an 8 megapixel F2.4 camera and the appealing feature of the slate is actually the 9.7 inch Retina Display with 2304 x 3072 pixel resolution. 1GB of RAM is also included and a 2MP front HD camera as well, for Facetime use. I guess that this device will be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions and honestly speaking it’s not that far from what everyone expects the next iPad to be like. One thing’s for sure: everyone wants and imagines a better display and camera on the next Apple tablet.

Will we be disappointed and if so, what will be the biggest thing that Apple will forget to include on the new tablet?

HTC Glory Windows Phone Concept Sports a 2GHz Dual Core CPU Loading ... Wp7__fan, the same guy who created this Nokia concept with Windows phone now sent us his new design, that involves a HTC Windows Phone handset. This model is called HTC Glory and to me it looks more like the LG Optimus 7, as far as looks go. It has a 4 inch display based on AMOLED technology, probably with the usual 800 x 480 pixel resolution.

HTC Glory Windows Phone Concept Sports a 2GHz Dual Core CPU

HTC Glory features a 2GHz dual core processor, 32GB of storage, a 2400 mAh battery and a 12 megapixel camera. There’s also 2 megapixel camera at the front and the operating system here is Windows Phone Tango. No one knows exactly what Tango will bring, but I’ve heard that it comes with support for LTE, NFC, different form factors for phones (BlackBerry-like with combos of touch and QWERTY) and support for front camera. The next OS, Windows Phone Apollo will be the big one, supporting dual core processors and 720p resolutions.

What do you say about this device and how much would you spend on it? Keep in mind that there’s already a 16 megapixel WP7 device out there, HTC Titan II… so I’m not sure where this model fits in…
