HTC Sense 4.5 Concept – Premium UI for Android 4.0 or Even Jelly Bean?

HTC Sense 4.5 Concept Premium UI for Android 4.0 or Even Jelly Bean? Loading ... Hasan Kaymak is well known on our website for his HTC concepts and now he did something different – an interface design. He created the HTC Sense 4.5 render you can see below, a very beautiful attempt to imagine what the future version of the HTC UI will be like. Right now we’re officially at version 4.0 that complements Android 4.0 and I imagine that version 4.5 will either fit Jelly Bean or an ICS upgrade.

Moving on to the rendered interface, you can see that the ring lock mechanism is still here and we also get a brand new Google Assistant voice companion like Siri. Unless I’m mistaking, this one can even interpret your gestures and face, which is very cool. We can access the voice command from the lock screen and HTC Sense 4.5 integrates folders in the dock area of the screen, a very clean and pretty standard weather widget and a new UI for the socializing feature… or is it the Facebook app?

I can see that there’s also a tile view for applications present on the phone and that the 7 home screens were kept. The experience is very clean and button sliders have been changed to a combo of grey and green, that together with the black background make out the HTC brand identity. What do you think this interface concept needs and what are you most happy about in it? Nice notification area by the way, with the weather and Facebook integration.

Samsung Galaxy S III New “Press Render” Looks Reaaally Thin!

Samsung Galaxy S III New Press Render Looks Reaaally Thin! Loading ... Bob Freking was unhappy with the recently leaked Samsung Galaxy S III press render, so he took it and modified it a bit, with the result being the render below. Now that’s what I call good rendering! You can see that nifty Home button, a speaker grille at the top and one at the bottom, a design decision I can’t quite understand to be honest.

Samsung Galaxy S III New Press Render Looks Reaaally Thin!

The design is very, very slim and the camera sensor doesn’t bulk out like on the Galaxy S II, which is a good thing. The display may not look like edge to edge material, but it’s big enough and close enough to the bezel to make the handset look even more appealing. The latest development in the series of rumors about the new Galaxy S is that a guy at Samsung said that the new device will use a quad core Exynos chipset with integrated LTE chips as well.

This means that Samsung keeps the production of the connectivity chips in house and doesn’t rely on Qualcomm this time. Other rumors talk about a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED Plus HD screen, 2 GB of RAM and a 12 megapixel camera. Supposedly you’ll be able to buy the Samsung Galaxy S III from June…

HTC La Chica is a Girly Phone With Android 4.0

HTC La Chica is a Girly Phone With Android 4.0 Loading ... We see top notch phones leaking every day and many concepts of high end devices, but never a smartphone for the ladies. One such device was imagined by Bob Freking and dubbed HTC La Chica. He says that the handset has the equivalent specs of the Samsung Galaxy S II, so it’s a dual core 1.2 GHz phone with a 4+ inch display.

HTC La Chica is a Girly Phone With Android 4.0

You can see that it’s running Android 4.0, it has a small chin and it has those trademark 3 capacitive buttons below the screen. Its case is coloured mauve, so it’s very ladylike, or is this a share of pink I don’t know? I imagine this model supports a qHD resolution at least, comes with 16GB of storage, 1GB of RAM, HSPA+ and a 5 or 8 megapixel camera with support for autofocus and maybe even 1080p video capture. For those of you who don’t know, there’s already a lady-oriented phone out there, the HTC Rhyme, but that one is a single core affair with underwhelming specs.

Ladies may feel the need for a full fledged smartphone and not only tin devices such as the Xperia Mini series or the Wildfire S, or underpowered units such as the HTC Rhyme. And that’s why people wonder why so many women go with the iPhone 4/4S if they want power… there’s no Android alternative! They could pick up a Galaxy S II, especially the white version, but what about HTC? When will they make a high end feminine phone?

[thanks Bob Freking]

Bunch of New Samsung Galaxy S III Renders + Supposed Press Image and Launch Date Loading ... Over the past two days we’ve shown you some of the best Samsung Galaxy S III renders out there and today we also have two more, from the same Hafizoff that created the concept you liked so much two days ago. Also, as a bonus at the end of the article you’ll be able to see a press image that leaked on the web just hours ago, together with the info that the Samsung Galaxy S III will be launching on May 22nd.

Bunch of New Samsung Galaxy S III Renders + Supposed Press Image and Launch Date

Rumors say that the event will take place in London, under the Samsung Unpacked branding, that shouldn’t surprise anyone, frankly. As far as these concepts go, one of them adopts the long and wide look, plus it adds a 12 megapixel camera in the mix, while the other one is wider and makes me think of the Galaxy Note for some reason. Both units have Android 4.0 capacitive keys below the display and adopt edge to edge screens. I have to remind you that the rumors say the new Galaxy S will pack a 4.8 inch 720p display, quad core Exynos CPU, 1GB of RAM and an 8 or 12 megapixel camera.

As far as the last pic goes, the device seems to have a very thin bezel, making this an edge to edge handset and I really love that metallic area around the entire handset. The interface also looks nice and surprisingly enough there’s even a camera button in the mix. There’s a name in this pic, Weber Shandwick, a PR company that worked with Samsung in the past and now will help them organize Samsung Unpacked 2012 for the Galaxy S III launch. Of course, this could be a render and a rumor…

Samsung Galaxy S3 Render Also Gives Us 360 Degree View of the Device (Video) Loading ... Yesterday we’ve shown you a Samsung Galaxy S III concept with an edge to edge display, but now it’s time for yet another design for this phone to pop up. This time we’re dealing with the creation of Tyler Lehmann, who imagined a 4.8 inch device with a 720p display and Super AMOLED Plus technology involved.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Render Also Gives Us 360 Degree View of the Device (Video)

This is the Samsung Galaxy S3, with a quad core Exynos 4412 processor at 1.5 GHz, an 8 megapixel camera at the back with dual LED flash and 1080p video recording at 40 fps and optional slow motion mode (qHD resolution at 150 fps). These specs seem to fit those detailed by the latest rumors and also keeping up with them, this concept comes with a ceramic backing in black and white. There’s also an aluminum chassis in the mix for extra strength. Software buttons are also in the mix, those typical Android 4.0 ones below the display.

As far as the design goes, the Galaxy S II legacy remains present, but the resulting device seems a bit more elegant, if you ask me. These images seem to fit those thrown on the interwebs by Eldar Murtazin, who speculated on the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus for a bit before MWC 2012 and used pics like these to hint at the new device. Is this Galaxy S3 good enough for your expectations?

Samsung Galaxy S III New Render Features Edge to Edge Display Loading ... We’ve just received via email a new Samsung Galaxy S III concept that seems to take into account the recent leaks and speculations concerning this smartphone. The device is supposed to feature a 4.8 inch 720p display, Android 4.0, the 3 capacitive buttons below the display and a quad core Exynos CPU.

Samsung Galaxy S III New Render Features Edge to Edge Display

The designer also included an edge to edge screen on the handset and made it quite a big longer than most modern handsets, to fit that big display. At the back we find a mystery camera that’s rumored to be a 12 megapixel affair and inside we have that mighty Exynos CPU, 16/32/64GB of internal memory, 1 GB of RAM and most likely a LTE chipset. GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and NFC should also be on the specs list. There’s also talk of a ceramic back for this phone and I could see that happening with the design here.

It would also be interesting to see a potential Samsung Galaxy S III from its side, so a concept that also includes a profile shot is always welcome. In the end I have to say kudos to Hafizoff for coming up with this idea.

Toshiba Tablet Concepts Include a 13.3 Inch Quad Core Windows 8 Unit, 7.7 Inch AMOLED Slate Loading ... Toshiba has been known for a bit for having the thinnest tablet in its portofolio and this week they also unveiled some future concepts of tablets. One of them is a particularly interesting 13.3 inch device, that’s speculated to come with Windows 8 and apparently has a quad core CPU on board, of unknown identity. Some say this is Tegra 3 material…

Toshiba Tablet Concepts Include a 13.3 Inch Quad Core Windows 8 Unit, 7.7 Inch AMOLED Slate

At 13.3 inches, this is more of a laptop than a tablet, if you ask me and it’s far from the definition of a portable tablet. In case you were wondering, the 13.3 inch Toshiba tablet couldn’t be turned on during the showcasing, so it may have been a dummy unit, or one that will actually never hit the market. What the people who touched it can say is that the evice is very light and I bet it’s also thin, since Toshiba has been developing compact designs lately.

The other model is a 7.7 inch Toshiba concept tablet (last 2 pictures below) with an AMOLED screen, so this maybe be a rival to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. This slate runs Android 4.0 and it’s supposed to feature a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. The colours of the screen look superb, or at least so said the people who saw and touched the device. So, what you do you say? Would you ever buy a tablet as big as 13.3 inches in diagonal or go with the 7.7 incher from Toshiba?

Nokia Lumia 1000 Features Pureview Camera, N950 Design Loading ... As you know, Nokia promised to include the cool Pureview camera technology on future Windows Phone devices. Well, Tasak already imagined a concept of a device likes this, that he named Nokia Lumia 1000. This handset is pictured below, it runs Windows 8 and features a 41 megapixel PureView camera, just like the one on the Nokia 808 PureView.

Nokia Lumia 1000 Features Pureview Camera, N950 Design

Nokia Lumia 1000 features an Intel ATOM Z2580 dual core 1.8 GHz processor, a PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU at 533 MHz and a 4.3 inch AMOLED 1024 x 768 pixel display. Other specs include a microSD card slot, 64 GB of internal memory, 2 GB RAM and a secondary VGA camera with 30 fps video recording (VGA). The Nokia concept also offers NFC, USB 3.0 on the go, an accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, stereo FM radio, infrared, Bluetooth, WiFI, GPS and a QWERTY keyboard with joystick.

Apparently, there’s also a TV function this 41 megapixel cameraphone. It’s strange to see Windows 8 on this handset instead of Windows Phone Apollo, but from what I’ve heard Win 8 and WP8 won’t be that different… How much would you price this phone if it was real?

Google Nexus Prime Tablet Made by ASUS Created As Concept Loading ... Bob Freking is back with a tablet this time, that takes into account recent rumors saying that ASUS and Google will team up on a Nexus Tablet that will come this summer. The device will have a low price and it’ll be the first to run Android 5.0 Jelly Bean. Bob saw that Google got the Nexus One from the Desire series from HTC, the Galaxy S line for the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus, so he imagined that the Eee Pad Transformer Prime will be used as inspiration this time.

Google Nexus Prime Tablet Made by ASUS Created As Concept

The designer calls his concept tablet the Google Nexus Prime. The device comes with a 12 megapixel camera capable of FQHD capture, a 13 inch display with FQHD resolution (244 ppi), an Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset and a 1080p HD front camera. There’s also a micro HDMI port on board, a microSD card slot, noise cancellation technology and a case that measures a mere 8.3mm in thickness. Of course, since the Prime is an inspiration, there’s a keyboard dock in the mix and the ability to triple boot from Chrome OS, Ubuntu and Android 5.0.

A larger battery has also been embedded into the Google Nexus Prime tablet, tripling the usual battery life. The specs list is rounded up by a full SD card slot and 2 USB ports, in the case of the dock. Bob Freking says that he’s also thinking about a keyboard with a separate Tegra 3 CPU that adds extra punch to the slate’s chip – 8 cores with 2 companion cores. What do you think?

Xperia Pop Concept Runs Windows Phone, Has Plastic Shell Case Loading ... Brianmfb finally turned into reality what folks have been speculating that Sony would do for a long time: a Windows Phone unit. Meet the Xperia Pop concept, pictured below in very bright colours and packing features that would match the preferences of a youngster. The handset is made of two parts: the device itself and the colored part the designer calls shell.

Xperia Pop Concept Runs Windows Phone, Has Plastic Shell Case

The shell is made out of plastic and can be removed to gain access to the battery and SIM card. These colored cases can be bought in various color versions, for about $29 and this idea was also found on another Windows Phone, the Nokia Lumia 710. The idea of “jackets” for a phone, with different colors gained popularity about 2-3 years ago when Samsung launched the Corby phone. Nokia also has some Symbian models with this idea behind them, like the new Nokia 500 handset.

I have no idea what the specs of the Xperia Pop are, but I guess that they include the usual single core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm CPU, 512 MB RAM, 8/16GB of storage, an 8 megapixel camera, a 4.3 inch display, front camera and maybe even LTE. This handset would sell for around $300, if it were real…
