Space Music Flow Phone Design Includes a Bluetooth Speaker Cradle

The concept was created by Hyunsoo Choi and it surely looks like a fancy handset with music features. I’d see this in a purse or hanging at the neck of young lady, while jogging. I sure hope that this music phone comes with a decent audio technology, a decent Bluetooth headset and tons of memory, for your favorite songs.

Pantech Flame Phone is Also a Digital Frame

Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.We’ve seen concept phones that are brilliant cameras, MP3 players, camcorders, projectors, sometimes even razors and coffee makers, but a handset that’s also used as a digital frame is a first! I’m talking about the Pantech Flame phone, designed by Jung Woo Baik, a pretty cool idea accompanied by a neat-looking device.

This camera phone is a foldable one and can be placed like a flip calendar on your desk or it can be used as your average digital frame. Pantech Flame features a 5 megapixel camera placed on the front side of the phone, near the keyboard and it can take really neat photos for you to display on your “frame”. Let’s hope that the rest of specs are up to par with the handset’s level of innovation.

Pantech Concept Phones Unleashed! 4 New Designs of the Future

Case in point, Pantech, who last time showed us 5 concept phones and now reveals no less than 4 such devices. The Pantech Design Community, which is made out of 20 college students has shown the world its ideas, the concept phones that can be checked out below.

Pantech might build these some day, as they suit their goals, aspirations and design style. Without further ado, we give you Coralliform Water:

The Pantech Coralliform Water concept phone is, as you might have guessed, inspired by the water and nature. This slider is very sleek and seems to include a touchscreen and camera, but no trace of specs so far. Please remind me to slap myself over the statement I made here (“no good phones in green and white”… yeah right!).

The second Pantech concept is Easter Moai, available in the picture above. It’s supposed to express the “multifaceted nature of human beings” and it features a “wave” touchscreen LCD, a touch key, a dome key plus many other keys on the sides. This is a handset for functionality freaks and it’ll come with some sort of support, so I suppose it handles video playback/streaming/capture quite nicely.

Recy-Q is the third Pantech concept of the bunch and this is surely a premiere, as the device incorporates a sliding QWERTY keyboard and touch keys (embedded in the metal frame). Is it comfortable for texting and email? It sure doesn’t look like it, but you’ll be saving the Planet if you use it, ’cause it’s made out of recyclable materials.

Last, never least is Softy Lofty, the worst-named phone of the quartet and the weirdest one. All we know about this strange design is that it’s supposed to “offer as much visual and emotional comfort as possible”, but to me it looks like a very fat iPod that has just laid an egg. Or it may just be a robot from the future…

Pantech Inhealth Phone, a Device for Conscious Nutrition and Fitness

The Pantech Inhealth concept was designed by Kristina Lee and it seems to be the perfect device for folks who want to lose weight and quit eating junk food.

The phone accounts for your workouts, manages your diet and uses the eNose technology, that allows it to “smell” the food you eat through its chemical signature. Inhealth will also tell you what food groups you’re missing and maybe it’ll pat you on the back and chase out of the local pizza joint.

Pantech/Sky Twist Phone Tells You What to Do for Fun

Let your phone teach you how to have fun and what to do for fun. At least that’s the case of the Pantech Twist phone, destined for the youth market and designed by Gregory Davis. It features a jaunt function that recommends various activities (likes trips) based on your location, preferences and profile.

The Twist Phone also allows you to read reviews or watch videos, before going to see a movie it recommended you. Of course, the handset features GPS and its touchscreen display is great for viewing maps, movies or pics, either horizontally or vertically.

Twist includes a full split-surface touchscreen that allows you to view content on one side of the screen and browse through the menus on the other side.

5 Pantech Concept Phones, Available by 2010

Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.On very rare occasions we get to see more than 2 or 3 concept phones, pertaining to the same manufacturer, let alone 5 handsets plus a launch date. Even if 2010 is not a certainty when it comes to the launch of these devices, one thing’s for sure: the concept phones below are slim, good looking and ready to take over the Asian market.

Meet the Tower Lily, Wavy Stream, Waterfall Fish, Simplice Section and Cell Dot. Hope you can figure out which one’s which. These phone designs were made specially for Pantech, as part of a cellphone design competition with the promise of making the handsets available by 2010.

What can I say? Strange names, but cool looks!
