Shane A. Bygrave and Esato user tob!s are probably the most constant creators of Sony Ericsson concept phones (Razec and the others too), great looking concepts that is, like the new one below. We’re dealing with an 8 megapixel cameraphone concept with support for autofocus, a huge touchscreen and a great case pattern at the back.

What do you make of it? Cyber-shot Android? Touch focus included?

Just as the heat was killing our neurons, we found something cool enough to distract us from the evil sun: Esato user tob!s’ latest
Sony Ericsson concept phone. This is yet another render of the XPERIA X5, bearing the codename Nadine, but it manages to surpass every other render so far, design-wise.

XPERIA X5 is available in Chrome Silver, Ocean Blue and Sunny Orange, each of these versions looking well enough to compete with any HTC or Nokia device. As far as specs are concerned, we get the best on the market: 12 megapixel camera with autofocus, Xenon flash and HD video recording, plus a 3.5 inch touchscreen.
There’s also a touch keyboard on the features list, Android OS (2.0 most likely) and even a Sony Ericsson App Store, something that seems impossible now, considering the company’s financial problems. Great job as usual tob!s and this might just be the best Sony Ericsson design I’ve seen this summer.

Sony Ericsson G819 measures 112 x 55 x 13mm, weighs 126 grams and feaures a 3.5 inch TFT touchscreen with a 360 x 640 pixels resolution. A-GPS and WiFi are also on board, together with Bluetooth, Google Maps, a modem feature, PictBridge, TV out, USB and Compass Assistance.
This phone also incorporates a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, BestPic, face detection, VGA 30 fps video recording, geotagging, image stabiliser, smile detection and touch capture. The Compass feature is demoed in one of the images below and it’ll help you get directions, no matter where you are.

Remember Sony Ericsson Rachael (Rachel), the company’s first Android device to get leaked on the web? After finding out that Vulcan is
XPERIA X2 and its live pictures are genuine, we discovered that Rachael is actually XPERIA X3 and its specs have been leaked by Expansys.

XPERIA X3 comes with a 4 inch touchscreen (800 x 480 pixel resolution), quad band 2G connectivity, plus 3G and HSDPA/HSUPA. There’s also an 8 megapixel camera on board, with image stabilization, autofocus, 8x digital zoom and LED flash.
Rachael also supports VGA video recording and the device comes with a microSDHC card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, AGPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1. I wonder if the XPERIA X2 and X3 are going to be launched together in the following days…

We, from Concept Phones, have seen a huge amount of
XPERIA X2 concepts and we’re quite excited to hear that the device is finally turning into a real product, that might get official soon. Right now, all we have are some live pictures of the XPERIA X2 aka Vulcan handset, that you can check out below.

Till we see some SE official announcing the phone, let’s recap its specs: 512MB of memory, GPS, a 3.5 inch WVGA OLED display, XPERIA Panels and a 8.1 megapixel camera. The X2 will support a WM 7 upgrade, PS3 Remote Play and it’s also able to do 30 fps VGA video capture.
All of you folks who designed XPERIA concepts, are you disappointed or impressed with the X1 follow-up?

Esato board user Shane A. Bygrave has created a brand new
Sony Ericsson concept phone, that looks a bit like a combo between an XPERIA device and the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic handset.

There’s a 5 megapixel camera at the back and the mystery Compass feature on its specs list, that Shane promised to reveal later. What do you think about this design? What Sony Ericsson series would this device fit in?

With
Sony Ericsson’s Twitter account claiming that they’ll launch something new tomorrow and
XPERIA Rachael getting leaked again, in black, one can only assume that this handset will see the light of day soon. That being said, we know that Sony Ericsson might announce the XPERIA X2 tomorrow, or maybe Rachael, but they’ll surely show the world something new.

Last time we saw Rachael, it was shown in brighter colours, but still with the “leaked” status, so nothing official to brag about. Seeing “XPERIA” and “Android” on the same device makes us think that we’re actually seeing a very, very hot smartphone here, one that can easily compete with the iPhone 3GS, Nokia N97 and even Toshiba TG01.

Fancy a multitouch device branded
Sony Ericsson and running the Android OS? What if it had a 12 megapixel camera on board with Xenon flash? Too bad that this is only a concept and I’m talking about Sony Ericsson Tatino, created by Esato board user tob!s.

The handset is a high end phone that’s part of the Entertainment Unlimited Series and it also comes with WiFi, a minimalist design and probably tons of internal memory.

If we were back in the days of the Renaissance we’d have a category of “beauty in the wild” shots portraying concept phones and leaked handsets. Now, we’re dealing with images of phones that look real and not the usual Photoshop makeovers. Esato board user tob!s shows us how
Sony Ericsson Rachael would look live.

This Android 2.0 device has been on everyone’s lips recently and many seem to think that it comes with the XPERIA branding. Nice render and I hope you realized that this is not the real thing…

Mobile.nu is on a roll and after showing us a render of the
Sony Ericsson Kiki phone, they somehow stumbled upon info regarding Sony Ericsson Rachael, an uber-smartphone that will be launched later this year. The device may come with XPERIA branding, but what we know is that it’ll run Android 2.0 and use a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU.

There’s also an 8.1 megapixel camera on board, a 3.5mm headphone and the Android 2.0 OS, also known as Donut. Of course, I suppose that the handset portrayed above is just a render and we’ve yet to see an official announcement of the device.
Expect Sony Ericsson to surprise us all with Kiki and Rachael by this Fall.
