Sony Ericsson Nozomi is the Companys First Dual Core 720p Display Phone Loading ... Sony Ericsson is finally moving into a modern direction, as the leak of the Nozomi smartphone shows. We’re dealing here with a dual core handset, one that uses a 1.5 GHz CPU, supports Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and also relies on a 720p HD display.

Sony Ericsson Nozomi is the Companys First Dual Core 720p Display Phone

SE didn’t confirm the handset, so we’re dealing with a prototype and a rumor here. Sony Ericsson Nozomi is supposed to come in February at MWC 2012 and launch in March next year. Although initially the phone runs Android Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich will be received after launch. This looks like an Xperia series unit and in case you’re wondering it also comes with a 4.3 inch display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, 1 GB of RAM and a camera capable of 1080p video capture.

There’s also a front facing camera and apparently some buttons below the display, as shown in one of the leaked pics. I’ve heard rumors about a new phone called the Xperia Arc HD. Is this the one or is the Nozomi something else?

Sony Ericsson Beat, a New Walkman Concept From Frank Tobias Loading ... You can find all of the Frank Tobias Sony Ericsson concepts on our website and rest assured that there are quite a bunch. We’re dealing with a Walkman phone here with musical features, a large touchscreen and probably a very good camera. The design is very Xperia-like, if you ask me.

Sony Ericsson Beat, a New Walkman Concept From Frank Tobias

Sony Ericsson Beat is an Android model, it packs a front camera and most likely the TrackID, Walkman Player and other similar audio features, specific to the Walkman models. It’s interesting to see the word “Beat” or “Beats” being used by more and more music devices. On the one hand we’ve got HTC Who bought the Beats by Dre company and now offers handsets with great audio systems and now we’ve got this Sony Ericsson Beat music phone.

Plus, there’s also the HP TouchPad tablet with Beats audio… If there’s any link between this Sony Ericsson Walkman concept and the Beats by Dre brand, we should expect a fantastic set of earphones to be bundled with it. Of course, since this is only a design, there’s no telling when this model will come to life.

Xperia Tab7 Light 7 Inch Tablet Is Actually Worth the Effort Loading ... Every tablet maker seems to have lost focus on the user experience and they only want to copy/rival the iPad… How about a fresh new tablet design from Andro Gama? He shows us the Xperia Light (Tab7) concept, a 7 inch tablet that also serves as a larger Walkman media player.

Xperia Tab7 Light 7 Inch Tablet Is Actually Worth the Effort

This Sony Ericsson tablet has got Office apps, e-book reading software and a super thin design. This Xperia concept comes with 3D surround sound and the Bravia Mobile Engine technology, plus, as a bonus it has a 3D display protected by anti scratch material. Facebook is heavily integrated into what looks like Android and other specs include USB on the go and micro HDMI.

There’s an 8 megapixel camera at the back, with dual LED flash and the camera on this tablet is able to record full HD video, something that most modern devices of this type can’t really do. Touch focus, face detecting, face tracking and smart contrast are also on the list. Also, let’s not forget the green side of things, since this is a slate made of material that’s very easy to recycle. Measuring 12.1mm in waistline, Xperia Light looks like a solid 7 incher with a dual core CPU and lots of promise…

Sony Ericsson Wilhelmina Gets New Design Feats Loading ... Sony Ericsson Wilhelmina came with a stunning idea: a clamshell gaming phone, that really takes the whole PSP Phone idea to another level. Now, we get more info about the device, from the creator of the concept, Esato forum member Razec.

Sony Ericsson Wilhelmina Gets New Design Feats

Wilhelmina comes with PlayStation Suite support, a 4 core system on chip processor and a Linux-based Java platform. The Sony Ericsson concept supports wireless charging and uses a technology called Unity Display. What’s that? Well, a way to unit two touchscreen displays in a clamshell mechanism, with a single interface. Also, this involves a very small space of separation between the displays, actually no separation at all, it possible….

You also get panoramic superwidescreen view on such a device and the virtual gaming keys are placed at the edges of the resulting huge display. Other feats include 1GB of SDRAM, 32GB of flash memory, Qriocity support, glowing Xperia logo, 8MP autofocus camera with 1080p video capture and built-in 186mAh battery. Did I mention that the total screen resolution is 1632 x 544 pixels?

Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 Teaser Hints at Honeycomb

Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 Teaser Hints at Honeycomb Loading ... Worry not, as this is one of those weekend posts not meant to stir up the mind too much… What we have here is a piece of work by Frank Tobias, the teaser of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 concept phone. This is the device’s box, packaging, whatever you want to call it.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 Teaser Hints at Honeycomb

Frank continues working on the device, that may include Android 3.x Honeycomb, if we judge by the blue image on the box. I can spot a semicircular  Home button at the bottom part and maybe there are two more in there: Menu and Back, as usual for Android. I’m guessing that there’s an 8 or 12MP camera at the back and at least a dual core CPU inside.

What’s your lucky guess?

Sony Ericsson Wilhelmina is a Quad Core Clamshell PlayStation Phone

Sony Ericsson Wilhelmina is a Quad Core Clamshell PlayStation Phone Loading ... As mind boggling as it seems, there’s a quad core PlayStation phone with clamshell design out there, but worry not, as it’s a mere concept. Created by Esato board member Razec, this stunning device is pictured below and honestly the PS Vita ain’t got zilch on this unit.

Sony Ericsson Wilhelmina is a Quad Core Clamshell PlayStation Phone

Sporting a dual borderless touchscreen, the console phone can adopt a superwidescreen view, when the clamshell is open. The screen is panoramic and the lack of border between displays is a very welcome addition to the specs. The controls are virtual, or so they seem and we can notice the Xperia branding on this beauty.

We already know that in the Japan clamshells are still popular, so this model would probably be a hit, if not for the quad core processor, then for the PlayStation gaming experience it provides in widescreen mode. Would you choose this over PS Vita?

Sony Ericsson Circa, Brand New PlayStation Phone

Sony Ericsson Circa, Brand New PlayStation Phone Loading ... Frank Tobias created his vision of a new PlayStation phone, one with a dual core CPU and a front side made of mineral glass. This includes the display that’s practically unbreakable now.

Sony Ericsson Circa, Brand New PlayStation Phone

The OS hasn’t been chosen yet for this smartphone, so it only shows wallpapers right now. I’m curious to see how the PlayStation features are integrated into this full touch model and what platform is chosen for it. Android would be a good idea, especially since Windows Phone 7 is the equivalent of Xbox and it doesn’t fit with the PlayStation experience.

Maybe MeeGo can be a nice idea or even a custom Sony Ericsson OS… in case they’ll create such a thing.

Xperia Tanso, Fresh Design by J. Havrlant Loading ... In case you didn’t know, J. Havrlant is already a household name here at Concept Phones… After the teaser he showed us for the Xperia Tanso smartpone, now the designer realized the full version of the Tanso concept.

Xperia Tanso, Fresh Design by J. Havrlant

The new Sony Ericsson Xperia model comes with a big touch display, very slim edges, making me think of an edge to edge display and most likely a powerful camera at the back. Android is most likely the OS of choice, with the usual customizations by TimeScape and MediaScape and a Media Discovery feat.

Notice the cool circular buttons at the bottom area and the highlighted speaker at the top. This would make a very big Nokia X7 rival, or even a better model.

Update: And another picture below, the original has been lightened up by Bart Schuck. Thanks a lot!

Sony Ericsson Xperia Aero Could Run Windows Phone or Maybe Even webOS

Sony Ericsson Xperia Aero Could Run Windows Phone or Maybe Even webOS Loading ... Frank Tobias decided to stay away from Android for a while and created the Sony Ericsson Xperia aero concept. This light and ergonomic smartphone comes with a user-friendly interface and it skips Android in favor of some other OS that the designer didn’t want to mention.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Aero Could Run Windows Phone or Maybe Even webOS

I can speculate that the OS is Windows Phone 7, since Frank has been receiving suggestions towards this platform. Also, it could be MeeGo or webOS, but let’s see what he decides. As far as specs go, the Xperia Aero comes with an 8.1 megapixel camera at the back and a 3.2 megapixel camera at the front for videocalls.

Bonus, you get a new shot of the Xperia Smart, designed by the same Frank Tobias and pictured below:
