Frank Tobias aka Remort1 from Esato created a brand new tablet, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz XL concept, that you can check out below. This is not his first tablet design, as he also created the very neat
Sony Ericsson Maino Windows 7 slate.

Vivaz XL is inspired by the SE Vivaz handset and comes with an 8 megapixel camera, HD video recording and 75GB of internal memory. More details and a bigger pic can be found on the designer’s blog.

Esato board user juris15 has created a brand new
XPERIA concept, that he showcased recently. We’re talking about the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Daiki phone, pictured below, a pretty nice combo between the usual design of SE smartphones and the one of Cybershot cameras.

Although we have no info on the specs of this Sony Ericsson design, we can notice that it incorporates a 12 megapixel camera, with HD video recording, a pretty big flash and stereo speakers.
Combine that with a front touchscreen display, WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth and 8/16/32GB of memory and you’ve got a multimedia powerhouse.

We’re here to give you your the daily dose of
Sony Ericsson concepts, this time focusing on Frank Tobias’ latest work: the XPERIA X2 Mini. You can find more details about this handset on the
designer’s site and for now, you should know that the SE phone runs a customized version of Windows Mobile.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 Mini features a 8.1 megapixel camera with an LED flash, an AMOLED touchscreen display, Bluetooth, WiFi and tons of internal memory. We’ve speculated concerning the last 3 features, but don’t all the smartphones nowadays come with those, plus GPS, a virtual touchscreen and a 3.5mm audio jack?

This is an old-school handset design for two reasons: it uses the T series, that hasn’t been approached in a while and it’s a flip phone, stuff that Sony Ericsson hasn’t been showing much love for recently. Actually, the company hasn’t been producing new designs, sadly.
Here’s the Sony Ericsson T686i concept, created by Esato board member lavender389.

Frank Tobias had a bit of a premiere the other week, when he created the first
Sony Ericsson tablet (as far as we know). Now, he also gave the device some specs and designed an Android version of it, that you can check out below. Specifications of the Sony Ericsson Maino are available after the break.

There will be two Maino versions: one with Android and with Windows 7, both featuring a 10 megapixel camera at the back, a 3.5mm audio jack, HD video recording, 100GB of internal memory, 4GB RAM and an AMOLED touchscreen display with multitouch and a 1360 x 900 pixel resolution. There will also be a Media Stripe feature, at the right side of the screen, allowing you to control video and audio playback.

Frank Tobias showed us his
Sony Ericsson tablet concept a couple of days ago and promised to reveal some specs, but till then we have a look at a couple of “live pictures” of the device. We remind you that Sony Ericsson Maino is a tablet based on SE Aino’s design. Feel free to leave your opinion in the comments section.

If you want to switch from the usual concept phones, we can show you an interface design, created by Esato board user juris15, for the XPERIA smartphone. This skin relies on the Android 2.x platform and replaces the “ugly bar” with a new segment. What do you say? Would you see this implemented in Android Froyo?

We’ve called him
Remort1 for so long and we never knew his name was Frank Tobias… We’re talking about the Esato board member that showed us so many interesting concepts. The latest is a Sony Ericsson tablet called Maino and pictured after the break. Apparently, the device is somewhat inspired by SE Aino and it comes with a touchscreen display, while the rest of the specs are a mystery.
