Esato board member Remort1 decided that he didn’t like the Sony Ericsson Aspen
eco-friendly phone, so he made his very own version of the device. You can check it out in the following images and you should know that the real handset was announced in February and it’s coming in Q2 2010.

While the original SE Aspen was more business-like and maybe a bit inspired from the Nokia E Series design, this is a more elegant version, created by Remort1. We’re guessing that there’s a keyboard under the facade of the phone, maybe even a QWERTY one, unless the touchscreen and virtual keypad do the trick.
Also the original TFT resistive display with a 2.4 inch diagonal of the real Aspen might have been switched with a 3.5 inch (or so) capacitive touchscreen. Which version of the Aspen do you like more?

After having a look at the great Sony Ericsson WX1 and WS1
Walkman concepts, we now came across a poster showing the WX1 model. We remind you that this device uses an OLED touchscreen display, noise cancelling technology and all the goodies of the perfect music phone: stereo speakers, S-Master digital amplifier and it’s bundled with Premium EX
noise cancelling headphones.

Here’s yet another
Sony Ericsson concept, spotted on the Esato board: Aino X-Edition, created by Ricky D. This is a full touchscreen candybar handset, based on the A300 OS and packing an 8 megapixel camera with a “straight view” transparent screen, used as a viewfinder.

All the Cybershot-specific features are present on this Aino design, stuff like smile shutter, face recognition, auto contact tagging and much more. Also, the usual specs are present on the device: WiFi, HSPA, aGPS, Bluetooth and a reasonable amount of memory. Likey?

Do new
Sony Ericsson Walkman models even exist any more? Thank God for concepts, though, since Esato board user juris15 has recently showed the world two brilliant Walkman designs he created. We’re talking about the Sony Ericsson WX1 and WS1 models, pictured below and packing all the audio features of great music phones.

Sony Ericsson WX1 comes with a bright 3 inch OLED touchscreen display, noise cancelling technology, 32GB of memory, stereo speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack. WiFi and an 8.1 megapixel camera are also on the specs list, together with 720p HD video recording and a digital amplifier.
As far as the Sony Ericsson WS1 is concerned, this is a sliding QWERTY music phone, with 16GB of memory, a 3 inch touchscreen, stereo speakers, digital sound enhancement, Clear Stereo technology and an 8.1 megapixel camera. What do you say about these great Walkman designs?

Esato board member Remort1 recently designed a
Sony Ericsson concept called the H1, a smartphone that’s part of the GreenHeart series. This makes the device eco-friendly, but still we’re more impressed by its specs than its ability to protect Mother Earth.

Sony Ericsson H1 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8650A CPU, 1152MB RAM, 16GB of internal memory and a 3.9 inch HD display. At the back of the handset you’ll find a 10 megapixel camera, while the UI on board is Sony Ericsson Presence. The memory can be expanded with cards of up to 128GB.
More concepts made by Remort1 can be found on this blog.

Remember
XPERIA Renovatio, the great smartphone design by Jozef Kocúr? Now we’ve got some fresh images of the fully transparent phone that supports gesture recognition. This touchscreen concept phone also comes with email features, a virtual QWERTY keyboard, a calculator and calendar.

The music player on the XPERIA Renovatio looks quite nice, since it’s pretty simple to use and there’s even a photo gallery feature on board, although we have to mention that another unique feature of the device is its black and white screen.
While some of you might not like this choice, that’s part of the charm of this Sony Ericsson concept, based on transparency and elegance.

[Thanks Jozef]

Talk about sleek Sony Ericsson concepts! Esato board member
Remort1 has just posted a brilliant smartphone design that doesn’t have a name yet, but it looks quite stunning. The full touch handset features a 10 megapixel camera with flash and we’re really curious to find out more info about it. Here’s
the blog of the designer, if you want to check out more of his works.

Jozef Kocúr is a regular on our site, as far as Sony Ericsson concepts are concerned, with a focus on XPERIA models. His latest work is the
XPERIA Renovatio, followed recently by a model from the same series, but this time running Windows Phone 7 Series. The handset is pictured below and it looks pretty sleek and high end-ish.

The last rumours we heard pointed towards an ASUS or HTC Windows Phone 7 model as the first to be released, plus the rumoured LG Panther. Will the likes of Sony Ericsson and Motorola join this initiative soon?
If SE’s WP 7 device looks anything like Jozef’s concept, we’ll certainly have something to praise SE for.

Sony Ericsson was never a company to launch BlackBerry lookalikes, providing an alternative to those handsets and to Nokia E Series phones, through their P Series. Now that the P Series is dead, Esato board user MrEstranger proposes a rival, thanks to the Sony Ericsson Swift concept phone.

This QWERTY handset measures 14mm in thickness, it runs Android and it packs an 800 MHz CPU, a resistive touchscreen display and a microSD card slot. There’s also an 8 megapixel camera at the back, complete with autofocus and flash, plus a 3.5mm audio jack and a very interesting full QWERTY keyboard, pictured above.
You’ll also find two user defined shortcut keys on the front panel and we must say that combining a touchscreen with a front QWERTY keyboard can be risky, but also a winning solution. What do you think?
