Sent to us by Oky Aditya, the Sony Xperia Edge concept phone is a powerhouse with 8 GB of RAM, way too much for merely running Android 4.4 KitKat. The device is a 5 inch handset with certification for water, dust and scratch resilience.

Inside it we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1000 futuristic CPU, a quad core 2.7 GHz processor with Krait 500 cores. The GPU is a GeForce GTX 300 for mobile, which is a bit strange, since Nvidia would never let Qualcomm borrow their tech. We’ve got the full array of sensors here, 128 GB of storage included and Bluetooth 4.0 on board as well.

There’s NFC, USB on the go, MHL, a 20.7 megapixel camera on board with 1/2.3 inch sensor and a 5 MP front cam. The battery on the Xperia Edge is a giant, a 5000 mAh unit, even bigger than the one of a Nexus 7. I find it hard to believe you can fit such a brick inside a phone without making it huge.

Finally, the handset has a special Xperia fingerprint security system and wireless charging support.
