Seems that the Android platform finally has a “father”, courtesy of Google and Dell and the device is closer to its launch than you might have thought. This is not Dell’s first shot at launching a mobile phone, but let’s say that their PDAs were pretty much the reason for lack of enthusiasm these days. You’re probably wondering what’s the deal with that “Alienware” associated with the Android brand. Well, Dell bought Alienware, which you might know as one of the best tech companies ever, specially when it comes to gaming and multimedia. What you see above is an Alienware Android concept mobile phone but if you want to check out its specs, you’ll have to read the rest of this entry.

If Greenpeace ever dared to criticise Nokia for not being environmentally-friendly enough, they should take it back, since the company have just shown a great Remade concept phone, at the Mobile World Congress, in Barcelona. Check it out in the video above and I have to say that the background music is quite nice. The Remade model is made out of recycled materials, ranging from metal parts to the plastic we usually throw away in our garbage cans. I have to say that this device looks pretty nice, a bit “Asian” though, reminding me of the Japanese phones. And when you think that they used aluminium cans for its body and old used tires for its keypads… Read the rest of the entry for an extra video of the device.

Let’s call this a “mystery phone”, as that’s what it is. We’ve only got this picture above and tons of assumptions. It might as well be a sci-fi bracelet, pretending to be a phone, but rest assured that there’s a display in there, although you can’t see it. This device seems to be folded, with the aid of 3 hinges and that means that we’re dealing with a rather long phone, when it not gone “cube mode”. The concept was demonstrated at the Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona by ZTE, Zhong Xing Telecommunication Equipment Company.

What you can see above is the beautiful Credo Phone designed by Bogar Bence. The creator of the Credo project claims that the concept had to morph into something else twice and it draws its inspiration from the Lexus cars. He initially branded the device ASUS Aura, but had to change it, as there’s already a concept bearing the name and a logo. So, after being contacted by ASUS, he changed the phone’s name to BYB Credo, but the concept is equally attractive. Check out its full list of specs by reading the full article.

Here’s what might get Motorola back on track, in case they’ll ever make it out of the current crisis: E680W, a neat concept phone, featuring a wide touchscreen. Ycyas, the user who posted this on the Motorolafans forums also wants to see Linux EZX UI on this device, making it a worthy iPhone rival. I hope the design team over the producer’s HQ is watching this…

We’ve heard about devices that could be used as mobile phones, GPS navigators, media players and remote controls before, but what about expanding the array of features? That’s exactly what the handheld piece of marvel above manages to do. Modu is its name and it may be a concept, but it’s even got a release date, October 1, at least for Russia, Italy and Israel. Find out more, by reading the rest of the entry.
