We’re not all about concept phones, specially since interface designs also fascinate us and we’ve chosen to show you Esato user Razec’s latest work, for this reason. This is a
Sony Ericsson UI on Windows Mobile 6.5 concept and you can notice that Opera 9.7 also joins the pack, swipe unlock is supported and the app launcher looks spectacular.
The media player is also quite nice. WM 7 UI soon?

Shane A. Bygrave or, as he’s known on the Esato board, echo.shane has just shown the world 2 brand new Sony Ericsson concepts, Nene, a handset that’s part of the Unlimited Entertainment series and SE Wallet, a concept we’ve seen before
in a teaser.
Sony Ericsson Nene incorporates a 8.1 megapixel camera and I have to say that I love its colors and design.

The designer has promised that he’ll soon publish the specs and more pics of the concepts, but till then I can notice a pretty decent screen on the front side of the Nene phone. The keys below it seem touch sensitive, but I’m just guessing here, so don’t throw stones just yet.
Moving on to the Sony Ericsson Wallet, or the Z230-w12, as the designer calls it, I have to say that I don’t quite get what this product is, but we’ll get more info in the following days. It could actually be a wallet… like its name says.

Esato user Destony has just recently posted a pink
iPhone concept, that doesn’t bring much modifications to the older device, aside from the iCam video chat camera at the front of the handset and the 32GB storage capacity.
It’s also funny to notice that the phone uses Cingular’s network (memories, memories), but what’s really new about this handset? The image would make a pretty neat wallpaper though…

Razec’s series of beautiful concepts shown on Esato continues, this time with Sony Ericsson Phan, a handset we’ve seen
teased here. We’re dealing with a phone that comes with a pretty original form factor, reminding me of a camcorder.
Phan features stereo speakers, a hidden earpiece, gesture imaging pad, a rotating hinge and a 12.1 megapixel camera with LED flash.

Its external surface is mirror-like and the phone incorporates 2 microphones, a 2.4 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, a fast port and a neat set of navigation keys. Sony Ericsson Phan is basically a clamshell, but one that uses the Fold and Twist mechanism, usually seen on Japanese phones, that imitate camcorders.
Symbian OS runs the show and the camera gets touch autofocus to go with its other features: EXMOR CMOS sensor, smile shutter, gesture imaging, dual LED photoflash and WVGA 30 fps video recording.

On Phan’s specs list you’ll also find 8GB of media storage, a microSDHC slot and stereo audio recording. If this would ever be turned into a real device, it’ll be available in 5 different colours: Electric Blue, Sunshine Gold, Rose Pink, Lime Green and Urban Grey.
Would you buy one?

Sometimes I get the feeling that we’re becoming a
Sony Ericsson concept phones blog, since we’ve gathered dozens, if not hundreds of SE designs here… The list of such neat phones continues, this time with a fresh design from RKSD (Rew Kown), a new Esato board user.
Known as Sony Ericsson HD Pro, this smartphone concept incorporates a 3.8 inch OLED touchscreen display with a 800 x 480 pixels resolution.

It supports GSM/UMTS/HSDPA connectivity and it comes with the Symbian Foundation OS (Industrial Interface), plus a 770 MHz Texas Instruments processor. Its internal memory is 16GB and the specs list is completed by an 8.1 megapixel camera, HD video recording at 30 fps, Bluetooth 2.1+A2DP, WiFi and support for Microsoft Office documents.

Esato board member and
Sony Ericsson concept designer Razec created no less than 3 new concepts, making up for his absence and they’re all great looking devices. Now, we have a look at Sony Ericsson Kaoru, a handset that comes with a 3 inch capacitive touchscreen, the Symbian platform with Panel UI and a TI-OMAP 400 MHz CPU.

The phone’s specs list also includes 8GB of Flash memory, a full QWERTY keyboard, an 8.1 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, VGA video capture, 160MB RAM and a microSDHC card slot. Sony Ericsson Kaoru supports 3.5G HSUPA/HSDPA connectivity, WiMax, Bluetooth 3.0, MiniUSB and also comes with Java MIDP 3.0 with Project Capuchin API and pre installed StyleTap and NET60 3.0.
Kaoru is also pictured in 5 different colours, as you can see below: Electric Blue, Shiny Gold, Teenage Red, Mineral Grey and Leaf Green.

Having a look at the Esato board, I came across some neat
Sony Ericsson concept phones, designs and even a teaser of an upcoming concept. The latter was created by Razec and can be checked out below. I can spot a 8.1 megapixel camera sensor in there (if my eyes are sharp enough) and it turns out that this is the Sony Ericsson Phan concept phone.

Next up is echo.shane’s Wallet design, a concept that looks and feels like a wallet, thanks to its leather texture. It’s easy to carry in one’s hands and pocket and it turns out we’ll be finding more about this project in the future.
Finally, we get to see more of a poster than a concept phone, since dozens of XPERIA X2 designs have passed before our eyes. This Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 concept is quite a looker, keeping the same panel-based interface of the original handset and probably relying on a customized version of Windows Mobile… or maybe Symbian?

Esato board member echo.shane aka concept phone creator Shane A. Bygrave wishes a
Sony Ericsson handset with a decent QWERTY keyboard and a hot camera at the back. We’ve got no QWERTY Cyber-shot to look at in real life, so the designer created his own concept: Sony Ericsson C918 Cyber-shot.
The handset features an 8.1 megapixel camera, geotagging, aGPS, Xenon flash, face detection and touch focus.

There’s also a full touch TFT display on board, Walkman 3.0, Wi-Fi, photo fix, shake control, DLNA, the above-mentioned sliding QWERTY keyboard and Symbian 5th Edition.

Esato board user Sealover94 designed a great
PSP Phone concept, a sliding device with unknown features and its maker claims that any input is welcome, so you can suggest new features and design traits, if you want. I spot an 8 megapixel camera at the back, also a front videocall camera and I’m betting that the action buttons are hidden beneath the screen.

One might even suppose that this PSP Phone incorporates a sliding QWERTY keypad, maybe even analog sticks (unlikely) and a touchscreen. Tons of memory on board, of course, Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G hopefully and whatnot… What would like to see on this PSP Phone, spec-wise?

User Dark Magician, from the Esato board has created his very first concept phone and I’m not quite sure that the C900 he designed is a
Sony Ericsson device, but my gut tells me it could be.

However, this phone rather reminds me of a Helio device, or some Ericsson concepts I’ve seen months ago. I wonder if the handset’s display is a touchscreen and if it packs a sliding keypad or not…
What do you say?
