Nothing much to say here, except for the fact that we recently received an email from Leroy Lippets, showing us hisiPhone 4G concept pictured below. The designer claims that he doesn’t want to change the design of the phone, but just make it slimmer, slicker, more modern and include a 5 megapixel camera on board.
Leroy said he’s not that good with Photoshop… what do you think?

Call me crazy, but there’s something about this iPhone 4G design that screams “Asian” about it… not that it’s something bad or anything, but I would clearly see Toshiba or Meizu creating such a device. The iPhone 4G concept you can check out below was created by Esato board user tob!s.
Its design is very simple and clean, keeping with the previous iPhone versions, only this time the rounded edges are almost square-ish and the handset gets the same 32GB storage space of the 3GS version. I’m guessing that the camera has been improved and that the “4G” stands for WiMAX/LTE support, right?

Synaptics demos in the video below its next generation touchscreen solution, Clearpad 3000, supporting multifinger capability. Up to 10 fingers will be able to interact with what might be the iPhone 4G’s display. Here’s the technology in action:
This new kind of touchscreen will enable multifinger unlocking gestures, independent tracking of fingers and even gestures like “crumpling” a virtual paper to close an app. Games will be more fun to play, people will be able to play pianos on their touchscreens and type on the virtual keyboard with both hands.

We’re keen on any info regarding prototypes, patents, phone concepts and designs, but this time it’s a tragedy we’re dealing with and a quite intriguing piece of news. A 25 year old worker at Chinese manufacturer Foxconn (that maker of all iPhone models) has committed suicide after the iPhone 4G prototype he was looking after went missing…
I’m sure that the product was worth its value in gold, if not more and it’s hard to say if the man really committed suicide or if he was a victim of the industrial espionage or its “counter measures”. The web is abuzz with stories concerning illegal searches of the man’s apartment and even physical abuse on him, during interrogation.
Rumours seem to point towards Foxconn employee, but we’re not the one pointing fingers. Meanwhile, the Cupertino giant expresses its sadness concerning the man’s death, but we wonder what would happen if we’d post a picture of the 4G iPhone here? Would we also be found dead?

We’ve shown you most of the iPhone 4G concepts that surfaced on the web this year and in 2008, hoping that maybe some of them will inspire Apple designers to create a great product. Now, we’ve come across two videos that gather all the concepts of the next-gen iPhone (4G) and showcase them with a pretty neat background music:
You’ll see familiar “faces”, like the iPhone nano, the iPhone Pro or the iPhone Luxe, but also newbies, like the iPhone Air, or the weird iPhone Shuffle. The transparent iPhone concept is one of the best and it has an incredible 64 GB memory, plus other specs you’ll love.
Some iPhone concepts pack 5 megapixel cameras, others come with a digital compass and some even support Flash (wow!). Here’s part 2 of the iPhone concepts video:

Around Christmas time, in 2008 we found a couple of brilliant iPhone concept designs, that we loved and never thought we’d see something better, at least for a few months. Now, in February 2009, we’ve got a bunch more iPhone concepts, each looking better than the previous one. The handset below is an iPhone Ultra:
iPhone Ultra features a sturdy Titanium and Glass casing, an OLED display and 64 GB of internal memory. Beneath the case there’s a 1.2 GHz processor and the concept’s specs list also includes a 5.2 megapixel camera, 4G connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth 10x and iPhone OS 2.7.
The battery of the phone will provide energy for 18 hours of video playback and 48 hours of audio playback. Here’s iPhone 4G Ultra performing the good old Google Search:
Next comes iPhone Deluxe or Luxe with an incredible 128 GB memory and dark casing with mauve decorations. Luxe can get turned into an gaming device (iGame), by attaching a keyboard and directional pad plus an action buttons pad to it, as you’ll see below.
Last, there’s iPhone Long Future, a concept iPhone that reminds me of another prototype, an Intel phone that was shown many months ago during a tech show. All of these designs were created by hdi, who did a splendid job.
