I don’t know exactly why, but this
iPhone 2.0 concept screams “MacBook” to me and I can already imagine it being created from a single block of aluminium. The design was created by Randy Hill and it was part of the ilounge iPhone concept contest.

We’re dealing with a device that’s smaller than the first-gen iPhone, but with a 25% larger touch display. No need for the Home button, now that there’s a new feature on board, called Expose and you should also know that the handset’s OS of choice is based on the new OS X Leopard. 3G, GPS and 32GB of memory are also on the specs list.

Slim just became slimmer, thanks to the
iPhone concept below. Its curved design is impressive enough to beat the best looking modern handsets and in case you’re wondering, the concept was created by Eric Mendoza.

The phone comes with 3G support, a 7 megapixel camera with Xenon flash and autofocus, WiFi, anti theft system, TV-out and loudspeaker. I guess that the designer of the futuristic iPhone expressed the entire idea of the device in this phrase: “Thin is in!”.

Karl Vanderbeek’s
iPhone concept has gone to the steampunk side and has got to be one of the craziest designs ever! Know that it supports 3G, up to 5G connectivity, it packs a “magic touch windows” and uses an “inboard powerplant” that will be fuelled by an incinerator, burning garbage and… Zunes.

There’s also a videocall camera on board, a keyboard that works at the speed of light, support for location tracking (with trail included ) and great photographic abilities. The steampunk iPhone concept should be made out of brass, walnut, leather or Bakelite, in order to keep up with the futuristic trends.
I am stunned, simply stunned… Would you buy such a crazy device?

Many try to design brand new
iPhone concepts focusing on hot specs, bigger and better touchscreens or new features, but we have forgotten that sometimes you also have to “go green” if you want to succeed. Amy Lam created the iPhone Evo concept, a handset that relies on solar energy, as an optional power source.

This phone supports 3G connectivity, features a 7 megapixel camera with support for video recording and uses a stylus that aids the user to write personal notes and doodles. Dual BOSE speakers with loudspeaker are also on board, plus call alert lights on the sides of the phone, Bluetooth and WiFi support.
iPhone Evo comes in 32GB or 64GB versions and its designer claims that this handset should stay modern for about 5 more years. Is Apple ready for a more environmentally-friendly attitude?

Back to the ilounge’s
iPhone concept competition, we discover Alvin Chau’s iWatch, the iPhone watch concept. This great-looking device fits your wrist perfectly and it features 4 application buttons, a touchscreen and a click wheel.

There’s also a camera on board and even CoverFlow is supported… one way or the other. The phone feature is triggered thanks to a Bluetooth headset and the iPod feature requires Bluetooth earphones. Apps from the iTunes AppStore are also supported and all syncing is done wirelessly. Simply great!

The series of ilounge
iPhone concepts continues, with a device created by John Mars, the iPhone Mirage. This handset keeps the original phone’s features and adds a bunch more, specially those that people missed the most from Apple’s device. For example, Mirage supports haptic tactile feedback and comes with a stylus.

iPhone Mirage also supports handwritting recognition, comes with a biometric fingerprint reader and charges via induction (on the rear surface of the phone). A 1.3MP camera upfront will be handling the videocalls, while the 5 megapixel senzor at the back with flash will take all the cool photos you want.
Finally, zoom will be supported by pinching the screen and the specs list of this concept is rounded up by 16/32GB of memory, 3G, WiFi, GPS and Stereo Bluetooth. Remember that this is only a concept and you won’t see such a gizmo in store too soon.

As part of the ilounge
iPhone concept contest, Ray Leal created the very original iPhone Omega concept phone, a device that comes with 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of memory and a 5 megapixel camera. Omega should “be available” in metallic red, gray or black and it uses a pretty interesting Cover Flow Contacts feature.

iCam and iChat are also supported, just like we’ve seen on other iPhone concepts and there’s a GPS on board, plus push email (Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, .MAC), file storage support and even…. Adobe Flash (the blasphemy!!). What do you say? Would you buy such a device if it were real? How much would you spend on it?

The folks of ilounge have held an
iPhone Concept Contest at some point and what they got were some pretty neat designs from folks who envisioned their own version of the future iPhones. We’ve stumbled upon the iPhone Gesture concept phone, a device with two more touch-sensitive areas, when compared to the original Apple handset.

This is a gesture-enabled device that replaces the Home Button with a touch-sensitive area, placed beneath the phone’s OLED display. The gestures that control the iPhone invoke “meta” functions and will allow you to cut/copy/paste, lock the phone, control the music, change settings or activate the “flashlight” feature.
What do you say about this iPhone concept, created by Mike Manzano?

Call me crazy, but there’s something about this
iPhone 4G design that screams “Asian” about it… not that it’s something bad or anything, but I would clearly see Toshiba or Meizu creating such a device. The iPhone 4G concept you can check out below was created by Esato board user tob!s.

Its design is very simple and clean, keeping with the previous iPhone versions, only this time the rounded edges are almost square-ish and the handset gets the same 32GB storage space of the 3GS version. I’m guessing that the camera has been improved and that the “4G” stands for WiMAX/LTE support, right?

Apple owes us something big from this year’s disappointing WWDC, if not a tablet, then at least an
iPhone nano like the one shown by the folks of T3 in the following images. Of course this is only a render, but we have the right to dream… This slimmed-down iPhone is an EDGE-only device with an OLED screen and a 12 hour battery life.

The T3 iPhone nano also comes with Wi-Fi N, wireless media sync and a memory capacity of 8 or 16 GB. The latest iPhone OS should also be on board, with all the needed features, from copy/paste to MMS, A2DP Bluetooth or the shake to shuffle function. Notice the beautiful aluminium chassis and the elongated design of this slimmer and smaller iPhone.
The iPhone nano should be about the same size as the current iPod Nano, making it a device easy to fit in one’s pocket. What’s incredible is the camera sensor at the back, a 5 megapixel one, a feat that didn’t even make it to the iPhone 3GS. What do you say? Is this design plausible or not?
