The phone can open up like a book and reveal quite an impressive display, which will work great for viewing high-def videos and web browsing in full page mode.
No info on any production plans, but here’s a sample of this innovative concept:

Although this is a concept phone more than everything else, it tends to act like an MP3 player rather than a handset. Notice the minimalist looks of this Sony Less is More design, but maybe you’ve got the point by reading its name… There’s a hole at the bottom of the device, which can be used for system navigation or as a simple keychain.

What say you? A Nokia laptop that’s voice activated and uses a scroll-style OLED display? Why, this must be gibberish talk son… or is it? Rodrigo Mercado surely thinks it’s not, since he designed this concept laptop, that’s got a bit of that beautiful Morph in it. And it’s the flexible bit I’m talking about…
Imagine sitting on a bench and suddenly rolling up your Nokia laptop… How cool is that? I’m not even going to start about the inclusion of Skype or phone functions on the device, as it’s so surreal that it might crumble at the touch of a thought. Superb design job Rodrigo!

This iPhone concept you can see below is in fact 4 gadgets in one, pretty much like the original Apple handset. The blue thingy is a music player, a mobile phone, a PDA and a digital camera. It comes with an intuitive interface and a simple design, plus a touchscreen at the top and an oval OLED display.
The blue iPhone’s oval shape and design allows it to be used with tons of accessories, just like the original iPod. Among those are cases and protective screens.

The Recall concept features a flexible hinge, and OLED display and a curved profile that can make any Motorola phone jealous. This slim device uses an uncoventional hinge, staying open after being flipped, just like a measuring tape.
