We usually try to avoid the extra sci-fi concepts, in order to check out the more realistic ones, but this one’s too funny. Nokia 6639 is something that would probably never hit the streets this decade or the next.

It features a Swiss army knife, a zippo lighter and a digital SLR camera (double digit megapixels) plus Photoshop. Notice that ton of brands in the picture above. Imagine Sony Ericsson and Nokia working on the same device… I can pretty much imagine what each company contributed to the Nokia 6639 cameraphone, but what’s Volkswagen doing there?

There’s been a lot of commotion on gaming blogs lately, concerning a possible launch of a new DS with bigger and wider screens. There was even an ad to support these claims, but I’m not to one to buy the Nintendo DS 2 rumour so easily.

Of course Nintendo called this portable console a rumour and speculation, so it seems we’ve got a Photoshop work on our hands and a pretty good one, except for the fact that the screens are not aligned.

It’s rare that we see 2 Cyber-shot handsets of the same quality in a month, let alone in a week, but these are concepts we’re dealing with so perfection can be “excused”. Breccia from the Esato board designed the beauty below and Gondof Photoshopped it.

Turns out that the C909 will feature an 8.1 megapixel camera with a Xenon flash and a photo LED flash plus a 2.6 inch touchscreen and A-GPS. The concept Cyber-shot handset comes with WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and a VGA front camera.
It’s a 102 x 53 x 13 mm phone that weighs about 125 grams and a stunning piece of work.

Esato and Sony-Ericsson-Cz.com show us the latest version of the Sony Ericsson P3i, but this time we know that it’s a Photoshopped concept phone, instead of the old leaked image. In case you didn’t know, P3i is some sort of follow-up to the P1i. It features a touchscreen and I’m sure it’ll include Wi-Fi, 3G, maybe HSDPA and a 5 MP camera.

The resemblance between the P3i and P1i is clear, specially when it comes to the design and you should notice that this new version of the P3i concept features a touchpad and a couple more keys beneath the display, unlike the original full touchscreen concept. Also, it seems we’ll be given a taste of Windows Mobile on this handset, but that’s pretty hard to believe at this point.
Here’s the first version of the P3i concept phone, that surfaced last summer and below it, yet another attempt at designing the perfect SE phone:

This mystery concept phone I’ve spotted on Flickr was created by kichu overclocked and it seems to be an AMD handset. Athfone’s keypad is no news to me, neither is its form factor, but the video features seem to be pretty good. At least that’s what I can say by having a glance at the handset’s display.

AMD Athfone was created, according to its designer with the aid of Adobe Photoshop CS2, by using vectoring. That “Game on” motto might as well be the device’s purpose, but with such an input mechanism, who would play games on this handset?

Since we’re focusing on concept phones, there’s the occasional bad concept design we run into, made in a hurry, using Photoshop and elements from previously launched phones. We’re dealing with the perfect example of such a poor attempt, in the next image, seemingly showing a Sony Ericsson W990:

The bottom of this phone is actually the top of a Sony Ericsson W950i, as stated by an Esato board member, while the touchscreen + Windows Mobile is surely a combination not fit for the classic SE phone. Better luck next time, to the author of this design!
