Jozef Kocúr has made a name on our site and the Esato board, by posting many concepts of the Sony Ericsson smartphones, some bearing the XPERIA branding. A new design of his is the Sony Ericsson Shio concept, pictured below and running Android. There’s also a powerful camera at the back and a touchscren upfront that looks like 4 inch AMOLED material.

Sony Ericsson was never a company to launch BlackBerry lookalikes, providing an alternative to those handsets and to Nokia E Series phones, through their P Series. Now that the P Series is dead, Esato board user MrEstranger proposes a rival, thanks to the Sony Ericsson Swift concept phone.

This QWERTY handset measures 14mm in thickness, it runs Android and it packs an 800 MHz CPU, a resistive touchscreen display and a microSD card slot. There’s also an 8 megapixel camera at the back, complete with autofocus and flash, plus a 3.5mm audio jack and a very interesting full QWERTY keyboard, pictured above.
You’ll also find two user defined shortcut keys on the front panel and we must say that combining a touchscreen with a front QWERTY keyboard can be risky, but also a winning solution. What do you think?

Esato board member RKSynth strikes again, this time with a Sony Ericsson Android phone, with a classic design. The device is known as SE Xytozo and it comes with 3G support, Bluetooth, GPS, a camera at the back and probably a bunch more features making it a great mid-end device.

Esato board member Remort1 created a pretty nifty
Sony Ericsson concept phone, the very first design of 2010, an XPERIA handset with a cool 8.1 megapixel camera. There’s also a full touchscreen display on board and the device runs Android, as shown in the image below.
It’s going to be an interesting year for SE designs, don’t you think?

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3 will hit the market in February 2010, if all goes well and this device is a premiere: the first Sony Ericsson Android phone. Till we get to see the real device in action, we’ve got a couple of 3D renders of the handset, available below.

XPERIA X3, also known as Rachael and sporting an interface (or concept) pictured here is a very hot Android smartphone, that packs a 4 inch touchscreen display with a huge resolution. There’s also a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU on board and an 8 megapixel camera at the back, plus a 3.5mm headset jack.
We’ll see if the real device looks as good as these renders, that once again confirm the fact that the phone will be available in both black and white.

After the XPERIA X2 got somewhat official, since tons of leaks have revealed its looks and specs, it’s time to move on to the future of Sony Ericsson’s smartphone series. This is why we’ve been seeing so many
XPERIA X5 concepts on the Esato board, the latest being Shane A. Bygrave’s design, you can check out below.

This time we’re dealing with an Android version of the X5, one that weighs 138 grams, measures 110 x 55 x 17mm an comes in 2 colours: Oceanic Blue and Vinyls Red. As far as specs are concerned, the device comes with a primary 4 inch multi-touch OLED display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, dual speakers, Android OS, a QWERTY slide out keyboard and portable screen.
4G connectivity is also supported, together with quad-band, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, DLNA, USB, aGPS and there’s also built-in GPS among the features. An AMD Mobile Technology 1GHZ processor is running the show from underneath the case, accompanied by an Nvidia 3D graphic chipset, 1GB RAM, 2GB ROM and SD/MMC/MC card slot (external memory max 1TB).

There’s also an 8.1 megapixel camera on board with Photo Fix, touch focus, video recording and a VGA videocall cam, plus music features like MegaBass and TrackID. The best feature of this phone has got to be the X5′s wireless detachable screen, that’ll provide many hours of multimedia entertainment.

After having a look at Esato board user JOJO2531′s
SE W907 concept, it’s time to move on to another one of his works, the Sony Ericsson C907 design. We’re dealing with a Cyber-shot device with flash, probably autofocus, too and Android on board. Is it a viable idea?

I have to say that the edges of the handset are a tad too big, in case you really want to call this a full touchscreen device. Touch focus should also be supported and I can see a videocall camera upfront, if I’m not mistaking.

Esato’s back with a tob!s design, the
Sony Ericsson CS8 concept phone, featuring Android, a T-Mobile logo and a pretty basic design. Those look like touch-sensitive keys near the nav pad and you can spot a front camera incorporated in the device’s upper side, so there’s also 3G and videoconference support on board.

Tob!s from the Esato board designed yet another Android handset, probably a Sony Ericsson XPERIA device, known as the X3. After so many
X2 concepts, a follow-up (at least in naming) is a breath of fresh air.

As usual, the handset features a touchscreen display, the classic Android UI, but I can’t help noticing that this version is a tad shorter than the others.
Can this be considered a sort of XPERIA mini or even a… “nano”?

Sealover94 from the Esato forum designed a brand new
Sony Ericsson concept phone, pictured below in a pretty blurry image. No info on the handset’s name, no specs, nada… All we can notice is that it features Android OS and its design rather reminds me of a smartphone or a Cyber-shot device, so it’s unlikely that we’ll see the Walkman branding on it.

The concept handset packs a touchscreen display and a couple of buttons beneath the screen, probably used for navigation and calling functions.
