Muhammad-Oli from the Esato Board shows us the future of
Sony Ericsson phones through this beautiful K950i Bravia. It features a pretty big touchscreen, landscape mode and that Bravia branding which pretty much describes the handset’s use. It’s a “cinema phone” if you want or a handset that will be loved by folks who like to watch high definition movies on the go.

Of course, there’s the iPhone, the PSP or the Nokia N95 8GB to choose instead, but would trade those for Sony’s famous Bravia branding? Notice the multimedia controls on the phone’s left side, as they show that this Sony Ericsson is designed for landscape viewing of movies and photos.
Keep in mind that K950i Bravia is a slider and it features a decent keypad, so you won’t be relying on that touchscreen alone.

Since we’re focusing on concept phones, there’s the occasional bad concept design we run into, made in a hurry, using Photoshop and elements from previously launched phones. We’re dealing with the perfect example of such a poor attempt, in the next image, seemingly showing a Sony Ericsson W990:

The bottom of this phone is actually the top of a Sony Ericsson W950i, as stated by an Esato board member, while the touchscreen + Windows Mobile is surely a combination not fit for the classic SE phone. Better luck next time, to the author of this design!

If you’re into 5.1 megapixels of joy and CeBIT 2008 wasn’t enough, there’s another treat for the photographer in you: the Sony Ericsson C910 Cyber-shot concept phone. Designed by razec and posted on the Esato forum, this device is just what we need to elevate de megapixel standard count on all cameraphones.

Notice that small NVIDIA branding down below? Could the famous APX 2500 chipset be attending the show?

Before we get our hands on the iPhone SDK and a brand new PSP Phone rumour, let me contemplate a neat Photoshop design of
Sony Ericsson T660i, a handset that’s destined to remain a concept for now. What you can see below is the 2008 version of this concept device, designed by sunils120 and surfaced on the
Esato forum:

This is not the first T660i concept I’ve seen, as there’s also another version of the handset, designed by WhiteEye. In case you’re wondering, there’s a pretty decent list of specs for this device, ranging from a pretty good camera to FM radio. Here’s what T660i (the 2007 concept) features and a neat picture of the device at the bottom of the post:
- GSM/UMTS/HSDPA 3.6 Mbps
- 3.2 mega pixel camera
- premium finish with stainless steel, smoked glass and mineral glass
- FM radio with RDS
- Bluetooth 2.0
- 2.1 inch QVGA 262K screen
- Memory Stick Micro (M2) support
- dynamic illumination
- available color: Eclipse Black

Esato forum user Muhammad Oli posted this great concept on the forum yesterday, showing the world his vision on the future of
Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot phones. Oli’s design is the C802 handset, a great-looking one actually that features a 5 MP camera, 3x optical zoom and Carl Zeiss optics .

Muhammad Oli said that he used a couple of parts from the K770i handset for this design and the C802 is intended as an update for the K770i, but he took it even beyond the C902.

After a prolific announcement session at
Mobile World Congress 2008, Sony Ericsson seems to be readying yet another device, seemingly leaked thanks to the folks of the
SE4M forums. The handset is branded “SE 123″ meaning it’s only a prototype for now, but I have to say that this is quite a strange design for a SE device.

I dig that metal finish and I have to say that the handset looks like a mid-range or even low-end device, but it seems rather thick, if you ask me.

Stardate 18-02-2008… These are the voyages of the starship Rumorprise, bound to find the PSP Phone any minute now. It’s barely reached planet Stuff (magazine) and it seems that the device will feature a 480 x 272 display, a mini analog stick and finally lack that useless UMD drive. We’ll be playing game via M2 and what you can see above are (as mentioned) scans from Stuff magazine, which I spotted thanks to the folks of engadget. There’s also a supposed launch date in the magazine: July-December plus a few other details you’ll find out by reading the rest of the entry.

Just spotted this pic right here on
techdigest.tv and was wondering about the possibility of getting the PSP Phone, courtesy of Sony Ericsson, instead of the good old Sony (main company). Also, I’m quite puzzled to see that this concept features a 2.0 MP camera. I guess they would be able to include at least a 5 MP one. With the recent Skype update of the PSP, who needs a phone any more?
