It’s been a while since we last saw a gaming phone on this site, but here’s a brand new design, courtesy of Thomas Broadbent. This gaming phone combines the features of a portable console with the ones of a regular handset. This device comes with a swivel opening mechanism, that allows you to turn the phone into a gaming controller.

The same concept uses a “life light”, showing how much life your opponents have and a microSD card slot for extra memory and storage space for games downloaded from the Internet. There’s also a 3.2 megapixel camera on board, a USB charger/connection port and a full colour screen looking very hot.
We absolutely love the design of this handset and think it can easily rival the new PSP and even the iPhone’s gaming abilities.

[Thanks Thomas]

It’s been a while since we last saw a Nokia concept phone, although the Nokia E900 design looks more like an Internet tablet than a handset. The device comes with uber specs and it finally combines the business aspect of the E Series with a QWERTY keyboard and huge touchscreen display.

Nokia E900 supports 3G/HSDPA connectivity, plus WLAN, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS and, as you can see it packs a pretty big display, a 4.5 inch WVGA touchscreen. 32GB of internal memory will be more than enough, coupled with a microSD memory card slot, plus there’s a battery on board providing up to 8 hours of talk time.
An optical pad is also among the specs, plus a 5 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens and aluminium casing at the exterior of the device. Maemo 5 is the OS of choice for E900 and the handset also supports Ovi integration, Microsoft Exchange, Firefox 3.5, Adobe Flash 9, Skype video calls and more.

HTC Leo has just leaked on the web and we finally have some cool HTC renders to look at, but don’t imagine that this is the final look of the device, since it might change. The smartphone comes with a 4.3 inch capacitive WVGA touchscreen display and a 5 megapixel camera with dual LED flash.

We’re dealing with a Windows Mobile 6.5 phone that uses a 1 GHz processor, supports WCDMA/HSPA/GSM/EDGE connectivity and also packs 512MB of flash memory and 320MB RAM. The on-board battery is a 1230 mAh unit and the feature list is completed by WLAN support, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, GPS and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The usual sensors are also on board: G-sensor, ambient light and proximity, ready to increase the user-friendliness of the device. Now’s the turn for some live action photos of Leo to surface.

Motorola wants to enter the Android handset market by announcing no less than 2 phones with this OS on board and already renders of such a device surfaced online. Known as Moto Sholes or Shules, the designs of the Android phones were leaked in Russia and are now available below.

Moto Shule’s specs have also been leaked and it turns out that the handset comes with a 3.7 inch touchscreen display, with a 480 x 854 pixels resolution, a GPS, a 5 megapixel camera and a 1400 mAh Li-ion battery.
There’s also a 16GB memory on board, 256MB RAM, a microSD/microSDHC card slot, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR1 and a 3.5mm audio jack. Wi-Fi completes the impressive list and you should expect the device to hit Verizon soon, probably looking as good as the renders below.

Remember Sony Ericsson Rachael (Rachel), the company’s first Android device to get leaked on the web? After finding out that Vulcan is XPERIA X2 and its live pictures are genuine, we discovered that Rachael is actually XPERIA X3 and its specs have been leaked by Expansys.

XPERIA X3 comes with a 4 inch touchscreen (800 x 480 pixel resolution), quad band 2G connectivity, plus 3G and HSDPA/HSUPA. There’s also an 8 megapixel camera on board, with image stabilization, autofocus, 8x digital zoom and LED flash.
Rachael also supports VGA video recording and the device comes with a microSDHC card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, AGPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1. I wonder if the XPERIA X2 and X3 are going to be launched together in the following days…

We, from Concept Phones, have seen a huge amount of XPERIA X2 concepts and we’re quite excited to hear that the device is finally turning into a real product, that might get official soon. Right now, all we have are some live pictures of the XPERIA X2 aka Vulcan handset, that you can check out below.

Till we see some SE official announcing the phone, let’s recap its specs: 512MB of memory, GPS, a 3.5 inch WVGA OLED display, XPERIA Panels and a 8.1 megapixel camera. The X2 will support a WM 7 upgrade, PS3 Remote Play and it’s also able to do 30 fps VGA video capture.
All of you folks who designed XPERIA concepts, are you disappointed or impressed with the X1 follow-up?

Although some of you might think that this is a prototype or concept, turns out that WigiTel W3 is a real watch phone, one that looks like a clam and packs 2 displays. We’ve seen the real (or not) XPERIA X2 pictured last week and now there’s also a list of specs associated with the picture. However, after having a look at the Esato board, we’ve stumbled upon a fresh XPERIA X2 concept phone, created by user S4k1s.
The image below makes it resemble the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic quite a bit, but you’ll see that it’s got more than meets the eye.

Turns out that there’s a sliding keypad underneath that beautiful screen (touchscreen maybe?) and we’ve got no info on this concept, for now. Moving on to the real X2, we’ve heard that it comes with an 8.1 megapixel camera with autofocus and 30 fps VGA video recording, plus a 3.5 inch touchscreen display (WVGA OLED) and an accelerometer.
XPERIA X2′s specs list also includes GPS, aGPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a better processor than the one on the X1, 512MB RAM, Windows Mobile 6.5 (custom) and XPERIA Panels with support for Windows Mobile 7 upgrade. Don’t forget to have a look at the real image showing the X2 in black, at the end of the article (below).

Razec’s series of 3 Sony Ericsson concept phones ends with the superb Sony Ericsson Shadow, the “Ultimate Device for Ultimate Geeks”, as he calls it. Shadow comes with a clamshell design, a textured metal back with a piano black finish, a side flipping mechanism and contour design.
The glowing Android logo shows that this smartphone runs the Google OS and it’s a pretty neat and elegant detail.

Sony Ericsson Shadow packs a 176 x 36 AMOLED monochrome display (capacitive touch sensitive screen), plus a 480 x 320 pixel TFT capacitive touchscreen with mineral glass protection and chrome bezel. The handset runs Android OS 2.0 and also features a QWERTY keyboard, a 2.1 Stereo speaker subwoofer (wow!), plus HSUPA, WiMAX, Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity and GPS.
There’s also a great 12.1 megapixel camera on board with a CMOS Exmor image sensor, a Sony Lens-G 3x optical zoom, dual LED PhotoFlash, gesture imaging, smile shutter, camera/video switch, touch autofocus and portrait camera GUI.

The smartphone’s camera also supports stereo video recording, HD video recording (720p 24 fps) and hardware decoding thanks to nVidia Tegra. Moving on to more interesting hardware, we learn that Razec’s new concept uses an nVidia Tegra APX 2500 SOC (System On a Chip) chipset, nVidia GoForce graphics, 256MB DDR SDRAM and 16GB SLC Flash memory.
Shadow’s specs list includes a 600 MHz CPU clock, 300 MHz DSP, 2.1 surround sound speakers and a Sony S-Master DSP and amplifier. There’s also a 1500 mAh Lithium Polymer battery under the case and this is probably the hottest concept phone I’ve seen in the last months. What do you think?

We know that you’re already familiar with this picture, but it now comes with a brand new set of rumours and maybe specs. The latest rumours claim that there’s a xYz project coming from Microsoft and it includes a portable device, able to play music, movie and guess what… Xbox 360 games. Portable Xbox? Mhm.

Team Xbox says that their inside sources from Microsoft provided the info and that this device is NOT a phone. The xYz will feature a WVGA touchscreen and maybe even WiMAX or graphic processing chipsets. There’s also Live Anywhere on board and a medley of all Microsoft services, providing content, search, maps and games.
Real or rumour? What do you say?
