Sony Ericsson Xperia Ryo: Portrait QWERTY is Fashionable Once More Loading ... Not a day of rest for Esato’s juris15, who created yet another Xperia concept. This time, the handset is known as Sony Ericsson Xperia Ryo and pictured below. This device adopts the sliding portrait QWERTY design, combined with the usual huge touchscreen we’ve all come to love on the Xperias.

The device is actually pretty cool and it looks a lot like the phones that RIM will be launching in the following months, as BlackBerries will also look (sort of) like that. The question is: do we really need a physical portrait keyboard on the Xperia or is the touch one enough? Considering the success of the WP7 Dell Venue Pro, I’d say this design could be a hit…

What do you say?

XPERIA X4 Transparent Display Phone Could Happen Loading ... Sony Ericsson already has a transparent display phone out there, but here’s a new XPERIA concept, the X4, with a 4 inch transparent screen. Made by Frank Tobias, the device comes with a 10 megapixel camera with LED flash at the back and a 2MP cam videocall camera upfront.

Full video recording in HD 1080p is supported and on board of the XPERIA X4 you’ll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8672 CPU (1.5GHz), running Android OS. We have no idea on the version, but Honeycomb is a good guess.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X12 Based on Tegra 2 and Android 3.0 Loading ... Before you ask what the price of this device is, remember that this is an XPERIA concept and not a real device. The XPERIA X12 shown in the following image runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb and comes with a 4 inch Retina Display. This design was created by Esato board user hydro-

At the back of the handset there’s a 16MP camera and the X12 comes with Bang&Olufsen surround sound speakers, multitouch support, Nvidia Tegra 2 CPU and aluminum casing. That displays sure reminds me of BRAVIA material… is it just me?

Anyhow, this Frank Tobias piece of work is a full touchscreen smartphone, with multitouch support and the user’s choice of Windows Mobile or Android. An 8MP camera with HD video also makes its way on board.

XPERIA Meets Windows Phone 7 Through the X1 X7 Concept Loading ... Juris15 from Esato is at work again, creating an XPERIA concept with Windows Phone 7 on board. He also designed a specific interface for the OS, as you can see in the last image below. Dubbed Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1-X7, the phone is a full touch smartphone with an 8.1MP camera and the front buttons required by Microsoft in order for WP7 to work.

There’s also a camera button on the side and a brand new version of the Timescape/Mediascape UI, the XPERIAscape. Considering that Sony Ericsson just announced it’ll launch its first Windows Phone 7 handset in 2011 and the fact that Microsoft has yet to implement a decent file manager on this platform, could SE adjust what’s wrong in the new OS, if possible?

Also, it’ll be interesting to see Sony Ericsson using the Zune multimedia player, instead of its famous Walkman…

Sony Ericsson XPERIA PX1i and PX2i: Esato is Back Loading ... The Esato board was our usual place for finding new and appealing Sony Ericsson concepts, but for a while now, their users seem to have gone on holiday. Luckily, at least juris15 is back and he shows us the Sony Ericsson XPERIA PX1i and PX2i concepts, available below. He claims that he copied the X10 design and added it a little something extra.

What do you think?

Sony Ericsson XPERIA XTX1 Pro Adds a QWERTY Keyboard to the Original Design Loading ... Esato board user juris15 decided to add something extra to his XPERIA XTX1 concept phone, so he created a Pro version, that sports a QWERTY keyboard. The device still packs a 12 megapixel camera, accompanied by flash, HD video capture and, if we’re not mistaking, modified front keys beneath the screen.

The display on the XTX1 Pro looks great and it’s got to be at least 3.7 inches in diagonal. The XPERIA also comes with a front camera and it sliding keyboard looks pretty usable, although it’s strange that the screen part is smaller than the keyboard part.

We wonder how the screen segment looks like when using the camera and sliding this part…

HDMI out is also on board and we have to mention that the designer doesn’t quite like the front buttons, so if you’ve got suggestions, feel free to post them in the comments section.
