As you probably know already, Apple has detailed by mistake in iOS 27 the iPhone Ultra. Also known as the iPhone Fold, the device has been detailed and rendered by prolific YouTuber Front Page Tech, in the video below.
Expected to drop in the Fall 2026, after a few leaks saying that it would come in 2027, the device will lack a crease. It’s “fat”, short and different. The reason we have a Huawei Pura X Max and Galaxy Z Fold8 is the fact that the rumors regarding the iPhone Ultra have been online for a while now. That’s why the rivals have adapted. Turns out that consumers want more horizontal space for their activities, for gaming, for videos and more.
Also, they don’t want a crease and apparently they’re happy with just 5.5 inches for an external screen. FPT says that this is the most accurate visual for the new device. The device will come in black and white and only ship with two cameras. It has a centered external selfie camera and its inner selfie camera is at the left. The corners are rounded and the foldable is “instanely thin”.
It’s just 4.5 mm thick when opened, compared to the iPhone Air’s 5.6 mm. Of course, HONOR and Samsung have even skinner foldables. It will be a nightmare to cool, with or without vapor chambers… And the battery will probably be slip in two. The source also claims that over $2000 is a realistic price for the iPhone Ultra. The camera will include a wide angle lens and an ultrawide angle lens.
More details are available in the video from FPT.
