Even though BlackBerry and TCL have made a couple of phones together, we’re still lacking a major hit, a blockbuster. One such machine may just be the concept phone below, the creation of designer Albert Degin.

As Sony prepares for a curvier approach and may give up the rectangular format, BlackBerry will keep it without a problem. The device has an all metal body and this BlackBerry concept is supposed to be some sort of KeyOne successor. It also seems to bump up the multimedia a bit, with a 5.5 inch Quad HD OLED display and advanced mobile stereo speakers at the top and bottom.

The acoustics go even further and crazier, with Bowers & Wilkins sound and a dedicated high end DAC chip and amplifier. Interestingly Sigma optics are powering up the camera, so there’s a new player in the field. Nokia has Carl Zeiss, Huawei has Leica and now BlackBerry has Sigma, a name I have to admit I’m not very familiar with. I’m loving the grippy texture of the back and for a business phone, this sure looks like a gaming machine.

I’m also getting some Surface Phone vibes and maybe some ZTE vibes from that criss cross pattern of the Power button. Anodized aluminum, para aramid fiber and polycarbonate are used for the case. This is a no compromise, no BS machine, with a Snapdragon 845 CPU , up to 8 GB of RAM and OIS for the cam. You can get the full details in the source, but to me this sounds too much like a fun phone and too little like a business phone.
