Huawei went looking for ideas for its latest concept phone in Sweden, where they found the architecture design studio Claesson Koivisto Rune. The result was the Folded Leaf Phone, that takes us back to the roots of the handset, initially meant for making phone calls and texting, without extra functions.

This modern and vintage phone at the same time keeps it simple and adopts an extremely curved design, using a folded leaf as inspiration. Huawei’s Folding Leaf Phone combines the design of old-school cellphones with the new flip handsets. This device is easy to grip and it has a camera at the back shaped like a human eye, which can be kind of creepy, if you ask me.

The aim of this design is to make the angle between the ear and chin ideal and provide the perfect conditions for chatter.
