Google isn’t waiting for spring anymore. The company has officially confirmed that the Pixel 10a will debut on February 18, weeks earlier than its previously expected late-March window. After last night’s credible leaks showing the phone from multiple angles, Google followed up only hours later with fresh teasers that lock in both the date and the color lineup.

The short promotional clip highlights the new Lavender finish — a clean, pastel-violet variant that joins Obsidian, Berry, and Fog. Google continues its tradition of using poetic color names that sometimes feel more abstract than descriptive, but Lavender is unmistakably eye-catching and clearly positioned as the “hero” shade for this launch.

Hardware expectations remain firmly in the mid-range zone. The Google Pixel 10a is set to ship with a 6.28-inch AMOLED FHD+ display, 120Hz refresh rate, and the familiar formula of clean Android paired with modest but capable internals. Under the hood we should see the Tensor G4, 8 GB RAM, and a 5100 mAh battery — a noticeable bump compared to last year.

The camera setup stays true to Google’s computational photography philosophy: a 48 MP main shooter with OIS, a 13 MP ultra-wide, plus a 13 MP front camera. Expectations point toward software-driven improvements rather than new sensors, but the core package remains solid for a mid-range device.

Pre-orders will likely open the same day, and there’s a good chance Romania will be included from the start — Google tends to align availability for the A-series across a broader set of markets.

If the leaks and the teaser pacing are anything to go by, February 18 is shaping up to be Google’s first major hardware beat of 2026, with Pixel 10a positioned as the accessible entry into the evolving Tensor ecosystem.
