It went under the radar a bit, when the rumors about the Pixel 3a conquered the Interwebs, but it also made a comeback over the past month, as more renders started to appear. Today’s concept comes from Albama Fadhal, who put a special twist on the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL.
The device is shown with a dual tone back side, in full black, elegant attire and a dual back camera. The fingerprint camera is somehow at the back, not within the screen, which feels unlikely. There’s also a white/gray version, with a Blue Power button and then we get to see the facade. There’s a dual cutout for the selfie camera of the Pixel 4 XL, like the Galaxy S10+, but moved to the left, which is not a very sound idea.
Why? Because it overlaps on important elements in video games. And then we have the regular Pixel 4, not the XL, with a single front camera, this time not cut in the screen, but rather above it. The bezels are quite big and the front format is totally inspired by the Nokia 9 Pureview, which is not exactly a compliment.
Nice to see Google keeping the same design approach for 4 generations now, but it gets tiresome at some point… and somehow people don’t seem to dislike this approach as much. I like the Pixel 4 XL more here obviously.
