HONOR’s next flagship generation is beginning to take shape ahead of its official debut, with the first design leak of the Magic 9 series revealing a refined camera layout and a bold new finish. It looks very much like an iPhone 17 Pro Max combined with a Pixel. The orange hue also gives away the iPhone imitation.
The cameras do protrude more than the Pixel ones, to be honest. The leaked unit shows a matte orange rear panel with a sculpted camera island that flows naturally into the back, rather than sitting as a harsh, separate element. The module itself is smaller than what we’ve seen on recent HONOR flagships, featuring a rounded rectangular housing paired with an additional circular lens below it.
According to the same leak, the HONOR Magic 9 will feature a 6.36-inch flat display, positioning it as a relatively compact flagship. Despite its size, the hardware inside appears anything but restrained. The device is tipped to include a 200MP main camera, a 64MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide sensor, forming a versatile triple-camera system aimed at both detail and range.
Perhaps the most surprising claim is the battery. The Magic 9 is rumored to pack a huge 8,000mAh unit, a figure that significantly exceeds what we typically see in this segment. If accurate, it would suggest major gains in endurance without sacrificing the smaller footprint of the device.
The Magic 9 series is expected to include the standard model, a Pro variant, and a more premium RSR edition. Alongside it, HONOR is also preparing the 600 series, which reportedly adopts a different design approach with a full-width camera bar inspired by iPhone Pro devices.
