If you’re not familiar with the work of Gregory Pizzatto, feel free to click his name and find out what other concept handsets he designed till now. Today we get to see a 2012 design, the one of a futuristic HTC smartphone, that seems to be bulky at first, but then reveals a pretty elegant profile.

The 2012 HTC concept is very wide and very thin, has an interesting collection of buttons at the front (or maybe it’s a metallic grille, like the one a car), below the display. At the back there’s a 12 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and for some reason I think that this device is a quad core Tegra 3 unit. I  like the texture at the back very much and the entire handset feels like an elegant machine. The volume buttons on the side remind me a bit of the iPhone 4, or maybe an elegant watch.

I wonder if the texture at the back is crocodile skin or maybe the Kevlar weaving from the Motorola Droid RAZR. What do you figure it is?
