Huawei Mate 90 RS Ultimate render pairs vivid red with a pale lower panel

The most striking detail in a new render of the Huawei Mate 90 RS Ultimate Design is its color split. A vivid red upper section meets a pale, almost white lower panel, giving the back a look closer to a carefully composed luxury accessory than a conventional flagship phone. The image is a tipster’s interpretation of a handset recently photographed in Richard Yu’s hands, rather than an official Huawei render.

The contrast changes how the familiar RS silhouette reads. Red draws the eye toward the large octagonal camera island, while the lighter section gives the lower half room to breathe. Four diagonal stripes around the camera remain part of the design, adding texture and a sense of movement without changing the module’s recognizable shape. It is a bolder use of color than the single-tone finishes associated with recent RS models.

There is also talk of a ceramic back, a material that would suit the polished appearance suggested by the render. That detail remains unconfirmed, though, as does the exact shade of the lower panel. A digital image can show the intended contrast, but it cannot tell us how the finish will catch the light or feel in hand.

For now, the render offers an intriguing design direction: Huawei could keep the RS Ultimate’s distinctive camera geometry while letting color become its main statement. The photographed phone has yet to be identified officially, so we will need Huawei’s own images to see whether this red and pale combination makes it to the finished device.
