If the Huawei P50 launch is any sort of landmark, we’re supposed to see the Huawei P60 series debuting this December. We’ve already seen some renders for the Huawei Pocket S or the P60 Pocket and now we have the Huawei P60 concept, shown in full renders and a video.
The creation of designer HoIndi, this concept device has a bright and shiny gold hue. The device feels like a Nokia married a budget iPhone of sorts. The figure 8 shaped camera is still here and we also get a punch hole selfie camera. No trace of a pill or Dynamic Island here, in spite of the rumors.
Reports say that the Huawei P60 and P60 Pro will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 CPU, in a 4G version, since the US still has Huawei banned from accessing components. The phone may use a 5G case as a workaround for that. Camera upgrades are expected from the Mate 50 and P50 series.
The Huawei P lineup usually brings larger camera upgrades then the Mate series. The P60 Pro may borrow the variable aperture thingie from the Mate 50 Pro, from what we’ve heard. Honestly I can’t quite pinpoint a selling point here, aside from the curves of the phone and unusual gold hue.
A jump in battery charge speed, brightness, camera zoom would be welcome…
