Motorola’s upcoming Edge 70 Max has surfaced in a fresh batch of leaked renders, offering the clearest look yet at both its design and several of its headline specifications. The new images arrive shortly after Motorola itself began teasing the handset in India, suggesting that an official announcement may not be far away.
One of the leaked renders highlights the phone’s main hardware. According to the image, the Motorola Edge 70 Max will feature a 6.82-inch “Extreme AMOLED” display, paired with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 flagship chipset. Battery capacity also appears to be a major selling point, with the device reportedly packing a massive 7,100 mAh battery, placing it among the largest batteries seen in a premium smartphone.
Another standout feature is support for magnetic wireless charging. While Apple’s MagSafe ecosystem popularized the concept, Android devices adopting magnetic Qi2 charging remain relatively uncommon. Previous certification listings indicated that the Edge 70 Max will support 25W Qi2 wireless charging, allowing compatible magnetic accessories and faster cable-free charging.
The camera setup is expected to be led by a 50 MP primary sensor, reportedly Sony’s Lytia 710, although Motorola has yet to officially confirm the imaging hardware. The leaked renders also showcase a flat-frame design with a rectangular camera island housing three cameras and an LED flash, giving the handset a modern flagship appearance.
Earlier rumors suggested that Motorola will launch the Edge 70 Max in Onyx Black, Sage Green, and Glacier Blue, with the newly leaked render showcasing the Glacier Blue finish. As Motorola continues its teaser campaign, more details regarding pricing, availability, additional camera specifications, charging speeds, and software features are expected to emerge ahead of the official unveiling.
If these leaks prove accurate, the Motorola Edge 70 Max could become one of the company’s most ambitious flagship smartphones yet, combining Qualcomm’s latest high-end silicon, an unusually large battery, Qi2 magnetic wireless charging support, and a premium AMOLED display in a package aimed squarely at the upper end of the Android market.
