After Nothing Phone and Nothing Ear Comes the Nothing Laptop

So everybody has been buzzing about the future Nothing Ear Stick headphones, teased during the London Fashion Week, but few know exactly what to expect in the future. The Carl Pei founded company may have even more products up its sleeve, including a laptop. Such a laptop was now rendered by Concept Central.

Asked about a Nothing Laptop during an AMA on Twitter, Carl Pei responded by simply saying “Yes” and claiming that his company had made some concepts. However, seeing how the company is only two years old, it needs to focus on becoming more successful in current categories of products. In the meantime YouTube channel Concept Central took it upon itself to create a laptop concept dubbed Nothing Book (1). It keeps the transparency-focused desgn and also brings a surprise: a charging dock for the Nothing Phone (1) and Nothing Ear (1) headphones available to the left of the trackpad.

The aesthetics are truly inspired, even though I get a slight MacBook vibe here, especially with the rounded edges and all. However, the lit up LEDs under the transparent surface are gorgeus, albeit a bit distracting. I have to admit that many people would love to see the internals of the phone. The design is minimalistic and combines white elements with transparent ones. There’s also a tribute to the MacBook classic design, with a similar visual language, except for the whole transparent panel around the touchpad.

This one is a Windows laptop with a 15.6 inch screen and an a full keyboard, outfitted with the dot matrix font and a row of function keys. The Nothing Book (1) concept comes with two USB-C ports, a USB-A port and an audio jack. Everything important lies below the keyboard and we’ve got a transparent back panel here, overlaying the lower half of the laptop’s body. Easter eggs are also here and we’ve got a wireless charging coil at the left of the trackpad.

You can learn more about the product in the dedicated concept video.
