I have seen my fair share of Nothing Phone and CMF concept phones, but this one takes the cake. While Nothing is staying away from foldables and even scaling back the business a bit, by not launching a flagship phone this year, CMF is going all in. At least according to this concept.
Meet the CMF Flip Concept, promoted as a low cost clamshell phone with a modular design even. Credits go tot the designer s.o_design, who named his product CMF Flip 1. Even the official CMF account gave some kudos to this designer’s work. The trademark rotating button or lanyard is here and a highlighted camera area with a protruding part which I could have done without.
This feels like it takes more from the playbook of a ZTE rather than a Samsung Flip or Motorola RAZR. We aren’t getting specs here, by the way, but it’s easy for me to imagine some. For starters, I’d imagine the external screen is a 3.5 incher and the internal one a 6.7 or 6.9 incher. Obviously AMOLEDs. The CPU would have to be midrange, maybe a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 or a MediaTek 8000 series.
Two 12 MP back cameras should cut it. I particularly enjoy the Nothing UI here and also the orange version of the phone. I recommend you check out the Instagram page of the designer, which is very inspired.
