Nothing Phone (3a) Lite leaks hint at Cheapest Nothing Phone Yet

Nothing’s signature aesthetic might soon arrive in a more accessible form. Following the launch of the Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro earlier this year, new reports suggest that the London-based brand is preparing to unveil a Nothing Phone (3a) Lite — a pared-down version designed to bring the company’s transparent design language and playful minimalism to a lower price tier.

The leak comes via industry insider Sudhanshu Ambhore, who shared the details exclusively with Xpertpick. According to his report, the Phone (3a) Lite will launch globally, including in India, later this year. It will arrive in a single 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration, available in Black and White, echoing Nothing’s clean dual-tone palette. While these are the confirmed variants, additional colors and storage options could roll out regionally.

This would mark the first “Lite” device in Nothing’s smartphone portfolio — a move that mirrors how the company’s sub-brand CMF by Nothing has approached affordability with design still at the forefront. Positioned below the standard Phone (3a), the new model could fall closer to the ₹20,000 (approx. $240) range, making it the brand’s most budget-friendly entry yet.

Nothing hasn’t revealed any details on specs, but given the “Lite” branding, some hardware compromises are expected. The telephoto camera that made the Phone (3a) stand out in its price segment might be dropped, or replaced by a simpler zoom solution akin to the CMF Phone 2 Pro. The focus will likely remain on core design, clean software, and the Glyph interface, maintaining the brand’s identity while keeping costs low.

For reference, the Nothing Phone (3a) features a 6.77-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery with 50W fast charging — a solid mid-range formula wrapped in transparent aesthetics. The Lite variant could retain the same design DNA, but streamline the internals to make the Nothing experience more approachable.

If true, the Phone (3a) Lite signals a thoughtful expansion of Nothing’s product design philosophy — a democratization of its visual language, without diluting what makes it distinct.
