Leave it to @OnLeaks and 91mobiles to make our lives better with a fresh leak. This time it’s the OnePlus 8 Pro that’s gracing our screens with its presence. The device appears in 5K renders and also a video, all of them detailed below. I have to say that the design is easily predictable.
I have to say that not many things are different in the OnePlus 8 Pro design department, compared to its predecessor. I see that we still get a triple vertical camera, which is joined by two side mechanisms. There’s a laser focus one and also a Time of Flight sensor probably, or maybe a spectral/color sensor. The flash is placed below the camera. Also, I see that the main cam protrudes quite a bit.
OnePlus 8 Pro comes with a punch hole selfie camera, which was to be expected, after some experiments with a not so impressive pop up selfie camera. The source calls this device “the first OnePlus with a quad camera”, joining the already popular trend. One would expect OnePlus to introduce a selfie camera hidden under the screen, but the technology isn’t there yet.
OnePlus 8 Pro comes with a design similar to the recently published OnePlus 8 render and it uses a punch hole display and curved edges. It also has a bigger screen diagonal, at 6.65 inches, up from 6.5 inches of the OnePlus 8. It’s also a tiny bit smaller than the 6.67 inch panel from the OnePlus 7T Pro. There’s a 90 Hz refresh rate here as well, a Snapdragon 865 processor and lots of RAM.
OnLeaks somehow scored the measurements of the device, which are 165.3 x 74.4 x 8.8 mm, but the waistline increases to 10.8 mm with the camera bump. The device may also bring 5G support and gimmicks in the optical department, like depth sensing, 3D ToF camera 3D photography, AR, portrait mode images and more.
