OnePlus Nord N20 5G Appears in Fresh Renders, Takes a Different Approach

Fresh after seeing the OnePlus 10 Pro leaking in all of its glory we also catchy a glimpse at another OnePlus machine. This time it’s a device that may debut this year: OnePlus Nord N20 5G. Why this year? Because the N10 debuted in November last year. The device appears in a series of renders courtesy of @OnLeaks.

The most interesting bit about the design is the fact that there’s no camera island, because the two main lenses sprout straight from the back panel. It reminds me a bit of the Galaxy A32 5G, which had a similar way of integrating lenses. Supposedly the Galaxy S22 Ultra also lacks a camera island. The new chassis is also rather blocky, not curved and has flat sides a la iPhone 12 or 13 series models.

Specs are said to include a Snapdragon 695 5G processor and a 6.43 inch AMOLED screen with a fingerprint scanner embedded in it. The back camera setup has changed, but the sensors haven’t been that upgraded. Oddly, the 64 MP camera on the OnePlus Nord N10 5G has been replaced by a 48 MP sensor, plus the other two sensos are 2 MP shooters, one for Macro and one for Bokeh. The 16 MP front camera stays the same. Keep in mind that the N10 had a ultrawide camera in lieu of a 2 MP Bokeh sensor.

I have to say I’m loving the design more than the specs and I do hope that the specs change.
