Who thought we’d get a major leak on a Saturday? Famous leakster Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka @OnLeaks just posted a series of renders for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. As expected, it draws quite a bit of inspiration from the Galaxy S21 series. Let’s see the brand new pictures.
At first sight, the device looks like a S21 with thicker bezels. @OnLeaks also claims that it has a glasstic rear panel, or “acrylic glass”, as Samsung calls it on the Galaxy A52. There’s a shiny metal frame in the mix, a 7.9 mm waistline and it all goes to 9.3 mm with the rear camera bump. If you look closely at the camera module, you will notice a small change from the S21. The Galaxy S21 Fan Edition has a bump that protrudes directly from the real panel, not from the metal frame like the S21 does.
S21 FE is also larger than the S21: 4 mm taller, 3.3 mm wider and pretty much the same thickness. The source expects a 6.4 inch flat display, with a single punch hole selfie camera. There’s a triple back camera with LED flash and probably with 3X optical zoom. Anything less than that will be perceived as a downgrade from the S20 FE 5G, which makes sense on some level. Would be nice if we’d get the Snapdragon 888 CPU inside, in lieu of Exynos 2100. If Samsung can manage to achieve a $700 price, the device may be a hit.
The S20 FE 5G did bury the S20 and S20+ after all…
