Samsung’s next Fan Edition smartphone is starting to take shape. The upcoming Galaxy S26 FE, carrying model number SM-S741, has now passed certification through the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), a step that not only confirms support for the latest Qi charging standard, but also gives us one of the first real-life looks at the device.
The phone appears to closely follow Samsung’s 2026 design language introduced with the standard Galaxy S26 lineup earlier this year. We’re looking at flat edges, a minimalist rear panel and a vertically aligned triple-camera setup. The camera housing keeps the familiar “Traffic Light” arrangement seen on recent Samsung devices, although on the S26 FE the module seems positioned slightly closer to the frame edge.
The WPC listing also confirms support for Qi 2.2.1 wireless charging. Introduced in mid-2025, this newer standard allows charging speeds of up to 25W and improves magnetic alignment between charger and device. That means better efficiency and potentially lower temperatures during charging sessions. Interestingly, leaked accessories also suggest Samsung could embrace magnetic charging accessories more seriously this year, something Android manufacturers have gradually been adopting after Apple’s MagSafe ecosystem gained traction.
This isn’t the first appearance of the Galaxy S26 FE online. Back in April, the phone surfaced on Geekbench running an Exynos 2500 processor paired with 8 GB RAM. In Geekbench 6.2.2, the device achieved a single-core score of 2,426 and a multi-core score of 8,004. The Exynos 2500 is also expected to power the Galaxy Z Flip7, making it a more capable chip than the Exynos 2400 used in last year’s Galaxy S25 FE.
Rumors currently point toward a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and peak brightness around 1,900 nits. Storage variants could include 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB options, while the battery capacity is rumored to sit between 4,900 and 5,000 mAh with support for 45W wired charging.
Samsung is also reportedly considering CSOT display panels for the Galaxy S26 FE in an attempt to keep production costs under control, especially as memory prices continue to rise globally. Even so, some reports suggest the new FE model could still end up slightly more expensive than its predecessor.
At the moment Samsung hasn’t officially announced the device, but with certification documents, benchmark appearances and leaked renders already circulating online, an official launch later this year looks increasingly likely. Current rumors indicate an October 2026 unveiling window.
